Bernie or bust pledge-takers are the 'adults in the room'

1) Both Secretary Clinton and Donald Trump support increased hydro-fracking for natural gas. Climate change activist Bill McKibben has explained, "fracked gas is not a “bridge fuel” to some cleaner era, but a rickety pier extending indefinitely out into a hotter future." In a more recent essay, he points out, "Our leaders thought fracking would save our climate. They were wrong. Very wrong." Or, as climate change activist James Hansen puts it, "We’re in danger of handing young people a situation that’s out of their control." Democrats supporting a candidate at this late stage of climate change, who wants to expand this dangerous form of extreme extraction, are irresponsible at best and "bonkers." Voters taking the Bernie or bust pledge are essentially "demanding" a candidate who will not destroy our climate. They are the adults in the room.

I don't play maturity games and tell people they are childish. I might tell them I straight up think they are stupid, but I won't try to diminish a persons maturity it's like whatever.

So, that being said. Whatever our maturity level is and whatever our intelligence is to me is immaterial, we are trying to save the world. And we are trying to save humanity. Oh crap I just said we are heroes. I hate that chit.

there was another one I saw recently that makes me cringe - from a noted American Buddhist teacher - "wisdom holders." I'm sure he meant it in a good way but... Yecch.

We’re out of time on climate change. And Hillary Clinton helped get us here

Re Bernie or Bust, I don't know. I'm in a safely blue state so I feel I can vote my conscience without fear of the Republican winning, and Hillary is far too much of a right-wing global corporatist for me to vote for her (I'm talking about the general election here if Hillary gets the nomination, IMO there is no legitimate reason not to vote for Bernie in the primary). Others can make their own decisions based on their own situations.

I think it will be tragic if this opportunity to elect Bernie Sanders is missed, it will be one of those turning points in history where we could have turned things around but didn't. And the consequences, given the realitites of climate change and the connections to the fossil fuel industries Bernie's opponents have, willl be disastrous.

.......or anything else. They may think "She's more electable" or "I want a woman president" Maybe they've just been seeing Hillary on TV and listened to the talking heads.

I really don't think she will win on issues; the problem is: Most voters don't really pay attention to issues.

Having said that: I still think Bernie has a good chance.
