Related: About this forumWA Bernie delegates and alternates! Please show up on Sunday.
We showed up for Bernie in the precinct caucus, but our job is not over. Bernie needs us to show up for him at every level of the caucuses. If you are a delegate or an alternate please show up to the Legislative District caucus this Sunday, April 17. Every vote counts!

I think it is acurate, but not sure I trust any DNC document after NV.

(1,511 posts)Not sure how much to believe Progressivearmy.com but if they are right it supports my long argument I made on this forum.

It basically says that even in the primary states the caucus levels matter, and Bernie as of now has gained two delegates. Would suck to lose some of our ground in WA.

(1,052 posts)Read this morning that the rules mean (or have been reinterpreted to mean) that an alternate CAN be seated for a different precinct than the one they were chosen for (contrary to how it was explained earlier). This will reduce the effects of delegates not showing up as happened in NV. So it's more important than we thought for our alternates to show up.

(1,511 posts)I had heard that too, but was not sure why, that makes sense they would try to change it to help them out when they realized their own game was working against them.

(1,005 posts)an email asking me if I could show up anyway. Not exactly sure why other than to be a cheerleader and monitor things for shenanigans.

(51,907 posts)That is if both the delegates and alternates for that precinct don't show. This is a new rule this year, probably because the state party would rather have people hang around for the membership and donation pitches than send them home. If you are in this position, you will probably be most comfortable representing a precinct close to your own.

I hope it is, would be fun to jeer them when they beg for cash. We may finally get a chance to voice our issues with the delegates when it matters to them (while they are asking for donations). But I wonder if it could be to help Hillary slots for the ones that did not show can take from the entire pool and not just one.
