A year ago, I had zero people on ignore. I made it a policy to simply ignore when necessary without resorting to actually hiding those people.

I just looked at my list, and it has a record 37 people on it. 37. And I don't know that I'll ever clear them out.

I didn't put anyone on ignore in '08 or '04.

That I should find that many people on DU so filled with hate and dishonesty? I'm dismayed.

Especially considering that there are several more I'm considering.

This has been the most inspiring presidential primary of my lifetime, AND the ugliest, as well.

I wish I could afford to travel to the other end of the country to join convention demonstrations.

and just added three more this morning. I only had one or two on ignore in the eight years I've been here, but this primary season, with the Brockolites and those who want to sink the party by nominating a deeply flawed candidate, the list is gigantic. It's sad.

A good percentage of them joined in March of this year. Some even use the same wording. What a coincidence, huh?

10. yeah, modern propaganda and the way it works

Re same wording, it's also the same thought pattern. One they particularly love is "Hillary will be the nominee." There are those who repeat this over and over and over, every chance they have. Like they are a soothsayer. Or as if they say it enough, it will come true. To me, that phrase is the instant tip-off that they are on the job.

The thing of it is, if you ask any average person, just about everyone will admit that "anything can happen." That is why this constant drum of "Hillary will be the nominee" is out of kilter, strange, abnormal, and weird.

Another thing that has me wondering about this type of post is why they (meaning the HRC organization) feels the need to do this type of persuasion, meaning infiltrate boards and pay people to post. You don't see Bernie doing that type of thing, and while Trump might buy followers, you don't see him doing it, either. I don't even think it works, but I've not seen any studies on it.

8. Way back when we had a "favorites" list

I would put the more irksome ones on as a favorite. It seemed to be the kiss of death. I would check in on them a few days later and find a tombstone.

Now, I have over 200 on ignore. I checked the list a few days ago and purged the ppr's and the ffr's because I wouldn't be seeing them anyway. Then Skinner let them out of quarantine again.
