Careful What You Wish for: Hillarys Allies Rigged the Primaries
By Michael Sainato 06/08/16 9:36am
For the duration of the Democratic primaries, party leaders have broken or bent the rules in order to benefit Hillary Clintons campaign. The worst culprit: Clintons 2008 campaign co-chair, DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz. But at state and local levels Democratic Party leaders have also tipped the scales for Hillary Clinton.
In Puerto Rico, the Sanders campaign recently accused local Democratic Party officials of fraud, after they refused to certify campaign officials to help inmates vote, yet all of Hillary Clintons officials were granted certification and given access to prisons. In California, Los Angeles City Council member, David Ryu, a Hillary Clinton supporter, intervened to force the Bernie Sanders campaign to change venues for a concert at the last minute.
...
Former Congressman Barney Frank and Connecticut Gov. Daniel Malloy, two Clinton supporters who have been frequently cited in the mainstream media for attacks on Sanders, serve as co-chairs of two panels at the Democratic National Convention. Sen. Harry Reid intervened before the Nevada caucuses to call in favors from casino owners to give their employees time off to support Clinton at the states caucus. Shortly after the caucuses, Sen. Reid formally endorsed Hillary Clinton and has publicly spoken out against Bernie Sanders on several occasions, especially after the controversial Nevada State Democratic Party Convention. Sen. Barbara Boxer, whose daughter was married to Hillary Clintons brother, defended the former first lady amidst the recent controversy at the Nevada Convention. Since then, Sen. Boxer has been an avid attacker of Bernie Sanders preceding the California primary. Several pro-Clinton superdelegates have attacked Sanders and defended Clintons deplorable record, from the private-email server controversy to her troubling ties to Wall Street.
...
After the way the Democratic Party has treated independent voters and Democratic voters who support Bernie Sanders, they dont deserve their support in the general election.

(45,251 posts)I believe her name was the The U.S.S. 2008.
I guess it sunk/sank (whatever) this election cycle. It certainly has been an eye-opener seeing people toss aside their principles on every issue under the sun, even our actual democracy.

(19,926 posts)that they are no friend of the working person and are not in any way close to being a progressive or liberal.
They are showing that they are simply angry, most likely because he dared challenge their precious candidate, and don't give a rat's ass about the real issues we face. There is no way any progressive or compassionate person who has principles would primary Bernie.

(8,217 posts)I see some posts showing "Primary Sanders".
It's quite ridiculous, pointless, particularly as he usually runs Independent in Vermont any way, it is merely meant to trigger a reaction.

(1,182 posts)..that representative democracy is doomed.
Or actually that it never really worked, and is most definitely obsolete.
Contrived in the days of whale oil and buggy whips, representative democracy has long exceeded its utility.
I look forward to the day when the incorporated state is replaced by a robot, and our planet is all watched over by machines of loving grace...
And global money is called "Joy".
"Hey, can you spare me some joy?"

(19,926 posts)I rejoined to be certain I wouldn't have any problems voting for Bernie.
I will leave again if Hillary is the nominee. So the Clinton's will have a 100% track record in getting this liberal to leave the corporate Dem Party.

(55,981 posts)progressives. How many outspoken progressives have had their lives ruined or taken altogether. This isn't patty-cakes, there is big money at stake. They would have ruined Sanders if they could have found anything at all on him. They will most likely come after him after the election.

(19,926 posts)Someone did either alert or say something in a juror comment about how people shouldn't post links to "opposition" websites, whatever that means, even though Daily Kos links are fine. Of course it was a Hillary fan who doesn't believe in people with differing opinions or something.
So it's fine to post it but an asstroll may alert.
