Bernie Sanders

Just wanted to give a shout out to all who have been supporting the Sanders Campaign in Ohio and all across the nation. Thank you!
A lot has been said about Bernie's low name recognition in minority communities. Here in Dayton we've got a great team of core canvassers who in the last two weeks have:
Finished canvassing almost all of the Dayton View and University Heights Neighborhood
Have canvassing events in different neighborhoods in the city scheduled through the end of September and have been heavily promoting said events.
Have been canvassing public transportation riders at the Dayton Bus Hub to great success
Have been regularly canvassing local festivals with great results and very positive reception.
Dayton has struggled economically for over three decades, and poverty is rampant in the city. Voter turnout here is incredibly low.
But here's the good part: we've had great success with Bernie's message thus far. While his name recognition has been low in some areas, his message more than makes up for that. Time after time we have seen people's faces light up when we mention platform items like a $15 an hour minimum wage or free college tuition. We have had very good success, signing up 20+ households on many occasions with fairly small canvassing teams of 5-8 people.
We have seen no sign of any Hillary campaign anywhere here, and we are light years ahead of them on the ground game.
I believe that if we can get out the vote and win in Dayton, we can win America.
If you are interested in helping by joining our canvassing team, check out our listing of events here:

We could really use your help.
Thanks, take care, and keep fighting the good fight.

(62,325 posts)Arab Spring, didn't tweet much until now. Since using it to support Bernie I got 300 new followers, most of them Bernie supporters, the rest BLM/Ferguson activists as I've been following Ferguson since the protests began.
Now all those people are sharing tweets.
