I think that is incorrect. Nonpartisan registered people can vote
in the Democratic Primary. Unless it's been changed recently
and I don't think that is the case.

Decline to State. If this site is run by the local Democrats I don't find it surprising that they don't tell you about the second option. It's something the local Democratic cabal around here tries.

who are not, nor ever will be Democrats. Non-Democrats will consider doing a Decline to State whereas most will NOT join the "Democratic" party.

I didn't check the link to the registration site but there is a Contact Us link/form at the bottom of the homepage...maybe a couple of gentle notes to them clarifying about the registration and see if anything happens?
