(62,325 posts)do his show from there, as a volunteer of course. I bet he would have a larger audience THERE than he had on MSNBC!
They are looking for volunteers, and he is so good at going out in the field and interviewing people.
The New Media is where it's at, the Old media is dying a slow and painful death!

I think that would be an Awesome Choice for Ed and so smart for where the future is heading for media to Join up with the Messy White Haired Onslaught that is already about to unleash!

(1,024 posts)it contrasted with the sunny dry day, huh. Guess it was plugged right at the top?

(62,325 posts)But yes, regarding where the future of media is heading, Ed could be in the right place at the right time right now.
Cenk from the Young Turks eg, gave up an opportunity with MSNBC airc, and is doing great on his own with no fear of being fired during election cycles or wars if he doesn't toe the line.

in Omaha Steve's Labor Group because of the statement about Bobby Kennedy at around the 22 minute mark, give or take. And, also because of all the other discussion of unions and workers.

(62,325 posts)supportive of him being able to say what he thinks as an independent reporter.
I think, since the old media is dying, this is a good move for him and other journalists who want to be free from Corporate control.
He has a lot of experience and now he's joining all the other independent coverage of Bernie's campaign.
Who needs the old Corporate, useless, reality star obsessed media anymore?
I watched MTP this morning ONLY because Bernie was on. And it is even worse than it used to be which is why I stopped watching it in the first place.

(62,325 posts)MSNBC at the right time. So much new media now, a lot of it due to Bernie's campaign. I could see it growing into something big.
I wonder if Ed would be interested in volunteering some of his time to Bernie2016TV who started out just a few months ago and are now growing in viewership at a huge rate.
I know he's busy, so not on a regular basis, but maybe a couple of times a month he could report for them from a large Bernie event being he has so much experience and is now free to do as he pleases. I bet before long, Ed and BernieTV will have more viewers than MSNBC which I know I don't bother with anymore.

(45,251 posts)However, I've supported Ed via social media. From the time of the ACA forward, I always thought he was the most populist anchor MSNBC had. I was very disappointed when he crossed the picket line with the others and I am hoping he comes out of this even better off than he was with MSNBC.

(2,968 posts)about the same or bigger now than it was with
cable media. My guess is he's talking about Bernie!
I decided to post him here hoping he would get
more views (when he talks about Bernie of course).
And so far he seems to mention him at almost every
podcast. I first heard Ed on Air America. I thought he
would go far. I was not surprised when he went to
MSNBC. But was a little surprised when they kept moving him
around then kicked him off for good. But I was surprised
when they got rid of Keith Olbermann also.

(45,251 posts)we can watch the podcasts free.
MSNBC is establishment and said so to Cenk. They got rid of Donahue, Olbermann, Cenk and Shultz and anyone who criticizes the PTB.
