Sanders, a democrat, is running for president.

Liberty has had a number of presidential candidates speak at convocation over the years.

They include Ben Carson, Rick Perry, and the GOP frontrunner, Donald Trump.

The most interesting part is when the inevitable question about “protecting the unborn” came up. He handled the question deftly ("we agree to disagree&quot , but his statement about keeping the government out of personal choices got a loud positive response from what I could tell were female voices in the audience.
