(62,325 posts)for years, online and when they rose up and began to make themselves heard with Occupy Wall St, Bernie was one of the first Politicians to support them. Now they are supporting him.
Something the old Status Quo still hasn't grasped is how different this generation is.
As they say in the video:
We are more Globally oriented - THAT is why the old 'Socialist' meme isn't working.
We are less partisan oriented - THAT is why Bernie is attracting so many Independents and previously non-voters.
And the end, where they focus on switching from Fossil Fuels, to clean energy, Bernie is an Environment Hawk.
He IS the President of the next generation, and they are correct, they are the largest demographic since the Baby Boomers.

(22,271 posts)It puts the world's ills on the Boomers and paints the millennials as the saviors. Don't care for the "us and them" feel of this piece. JMO. Personally, this Boomer and hundreds of thousands like me, are out working every day for this campaign. Alienating any constituency at this point is probably not wise.

(2,968 posts)supported by the millennials. He supports their concerns. A coincidence?
I sent this video to my brother and here's what he had to say;
"I look at website. Seems powerful but emphasis on our debt seems to be republican claim. In addition the data
given suggest even republicans are significant among this group."
I replied that the entire TV network is driven by corporate/republican support. I know he watches some TV.
FWIW I'm also a boomer. I didn't see this video as divisive at all. I just saw a lot of their concerns and Bernie's
talking points very similar. What difference does it make who backs it? Quite frankly every generation thinks it can
do better than the previous. Have you forgotten the 60/70s? Why run away from this feeling? We aren't all one big
unit. I think on this one we can agree to disagree!
