2. Unfortunately - these pictures are based on the concept of 1 person = 1 vote.

In today's world of 1 dollar = 1 vote, it's hard to say that these are hugely imbalanced. I wish that were the case but Citizen's United has made it hard to believe.

I'm hoping that he can make up in contribution volume what is likely lacking in contribution size.

4. He is making it up in ways that money can't buy. Eg, traditional, Wall St funded campaigns

have to spend millions to get the kind of promotion Bernie is getting free from hundreds of thousands of very skilled and talented volunteers. That translates in millions of dollars donated/saved for his campaign.

Since the Corp media was never going to give him the attention needed to let the public learn who he is and what he is about, these volunteers are mostly responsible for helping people to get to know him.

They are using Social Media which is where most young people get their news and interact politically now, expertly, letting people know where he will be speaking, making sure as much as possible, to get people out to see and hear for themselves, what he is about. And when they do, they like what they see.

He isn't going to be spending money on Negative Ads either, which again, Wall St funded campaigns pour millions into each election cycle.

His ads will be issues oriented and I have a feeling many of his supporters will contribute their skills to help with this also.

But most of all, the very fact that he is refusing millions, or is it billions now in Corporate donations, once people hear about that, is GOLD because we know from polls that over 80% of voters consider the money in politics to be a major issue in this campaign.

If the election is fair, if no dirty tricks are employed to derail his campaign, I believe he will win this election. But it won't be easy, the powerful will do everything they can to stop him. They have so much to lose by allowing someone who works for the PEOPLE to gain any power in our government.

13. I love me some Jerry Brown, but...

...I am convinced that in an actual election, Carly would lose to a 4 day old ham sandwich. She's not fit to be dog catcher and it just amazes me that she's weaseled her way onto the national stage.

Seriously, the Florin/Brown campaign is a good point but I think it highlights out how deeply flawed Carly is as a candidate. I love Jerry Brown but he didn't win because he's walks on water and raises the dead. He's a great candidate but from afar, it appeared that all he had to do was let Carly beat herself into the ground. Give a bottom feeder enough of a microphone and they'll screw themselves. The good news is that Brown has some great principles and, I assume, huge positive name recognition and reputation in California.

Virtually all of the democrats running in primaries are more serious candidates than Carly and (while you couldn't pay me enough to consider voting for any of them) the same is true on the R side. Of the 16 left in the clown car, there is likely 1-2 that are less abhorrent than Carly.

Who ever is the Democratic candidate, they won't have the luxury of having such a classless opponent as Carly. Who ever is the Democratic candidate, I strongly believe that you and I will a new Democratic administration come November 2016.

Did Carly run against Brown for Gov or Boxer for Senate. I was thinking about it and I recall Meg Whitman running against Brown. Spent something like $50mm and got nothing. Most memorable part of the campaign to a non-Californian was when Whitman "longed to return to a better california like the one she grew up". Unsaid was that she was referencing then Brown was Gov the first time.

Brown ran her ad as an endorsement of his campaign (or something like that).

Anyway - you're point is still spot on about rejecting money. Hopefully the rest of the country can see what californians saw.

Thanks.

Now is the time for a real progressive populist movement, but the message needs to be clear and not overly complex and it needs to be repeated over and over to drive it home into the minds of the people.

Then Bernie will win.

And I'm sure that someone will say that Bernie's was full of homeless people looking for some warmth (and compassion, and vision, etc.)

Truly, I believe if Bernie wins the nomination he will go on to win the general in a crushing landslide. All Bernie's supporters will have to say is, "Bernie is not taking any corporate money." Game over.
