I wanted to share from a reddit thread that might help keep supporters motivated

Between April 30th and May 9th Bernie Sanders has had an average of 17,766 Facebook shares per post reaching a total of 100,000,000 people on Facebook. Within the same time, Hillary Clinton has had an average of 225 Facebook shares per post reaching a total of 1,000,000 people.

None of this is scientific but here are some social media numbers. Bernie is doing phenomenally well on Facebook. That means a young crowd is really embracing him (so much for too old).

From Facebook's "talking about this"

Hillary Clinton (~800k likes) has ~50k (~6.25%) talking about this.
Bernie's page (~400k likes) has ~250k (~62.5%) talking about this.
Bernie's Senate page (~1m likes) has ~955k (~95%) talking about this.

So the race aint over yet. Get to work talking about Bernie so people get real information on him, not MSM pablum.

1. Those are some significant metrics. People look at that stuff and interpret it.

It's important stuff. This is well worth watching!

But it is most valuable in shredding the myth that "Bernie is too old and young people won't vote for him."

4. Yes it is. And I say that as a Hillary supporter.

I think he brings a BOATLOAD to the table. And I'm a big fan! The more he talks, along with Elizabeth Warren and others - Russ Feingold getting back into it, and Sherrod Brown and Barbara Boxer while she's still in the Senate, and Al Franken - with those folks pressing these issues, and Bernie Sanders out front with an even bigger megaphone these days, OUR concerns as progressives and proud liberals will gain legitimacy and clout and attention. OURS will get bigger. OURS will get more notice. OURS will gain traction. OURS will get taken more seriously. OURS will start outshouting and overpowering the crap from the other guys - that shit that they keep trying to push on us that NEVER holds water and NEVER stands up to fact-checking or reality.

I appreciate Bernie Sanders VERY much. And whether he pushes Hillary farther to the left and holds her there so she realizes this CAN'T be ignored or avoided, OR he keeps gaining ground to the point where HE becomes the nominee - I don't care. And I'd be DELIGHTED to vote for him if he's our standard-bearer, much as I want to see a woman in the Oval Office.

I was looking rather fondly at a Clinton/Castro ticket. But wouldn't it be cool if we could have both Hillary and Bernie on there?

5. Sadly, I don't think Bernie is a good fit for VP

If he loses the primary, he will have a much higher profile and he can go back to kicking ass in the Senate. I think O'Malley has his eye on the VP slot. Dunno. But I do think picking a Latino is in the cards for Hillary.

I know that Bernie is a longshot. And when I think of what happened in Chicago with Rahm, I know it's hoping against hope that Bernie can beat the party and the money machine. Maybe Americans will just remain complacent. I don't know.
