Update :Rachel Maddow is hosting a forum with all 3 candidates

at Winthrop in Rock Hill, SC. Winthrop is also about a 1/2 hour from Charlotte, NC for any NC Bernie-ites who want to attend.

Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and Martin O'Malley are confirmed for 11/6 Winthrop forum. Hosted by Rachel Maddow. #NCPOL #CharObs #SCPOL

Don't have any other details yet. I just grabbed this off of Twitter.

ROCK HILL
At least three of the Democratic candidates for president – Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and Martin O’Malley – will attend a nationally televised forum Nov. 6 at Winthrop University, the state Democratic Party confirmed Wednesday.

“The First in the South Presidential Candidates Forum” at Winthrop Coliseum will be moderated by Rachel Maddow, host of “The Rachel Maddow Show” on MSNBC, which will air the forum live.

All of the Democratic candidates for president were invited, party officials said, but only former Secretary of State Clinton, U.S. Sen. Sanders of Vermont, and former Maryland Gov. O’Malley are attending. If Vice President Joe Biden, who has been publicly toying with the idea of jumping into the race, announces his candidacy before the forum, the state party said, he also will get an invitation.

The “cohosts” for the forum are the S.C. Democratic Party, U.S. Rep. Jim Clyburn, the Democratic National Committee’s Southern Regional Caucus 12 other state Democratic parties.

ringers for HRC, imo. The Rachel forum will be a chance for us to show the nation that Bernie backers are ready to show up for their candidate!

But then I was also a huge Obama fan. People can and do change, become more aware. Now I have little tolerance for the bullshit that is in our face every day.

And as long as you know the rules and alternate history and "facts" you can pass for a "knowledgeable" in their circle. They have canned answers for everything.

That's because they modeled themselves after Conservatives.

Reality kicks both of their asses.

We're not citizens -- we're consumers.

Another reason I'm liking Bernie: he's like "Democratic Party: Unplugged." Lol

for those of us who live elsewhere. I really want to watch. I'm delighted that this has ended up to be a real race! Just anointing Hillary without a challenge would have been a big mistake. I'm still somewhat on the fence here, but am looking forward to hearing all three of these candidates state their vision.

And I'm happy O'Malley is getting some exposure (although admittedly only to us Dem political junkies who are already aware of him). I've been told by a friend to check him out but at this point I'm focused on Biden, and I'm sorry to say like the rest of the country, watching what the news feeds me about Hillary, Bernie and Trump. Good for Rachel!

If Debbie Wasserman Schultz is still determined to exclude anyone taking part in an 'unsanctified' debate, Hillary and DWS would be very happy to have the rest of the official debates between Hillary and Joe Biden.

She could have a last minute "emergency fundraiser" and have to cancel. That leaves an opening for DWS to ban Bernie and O'Malley from the debates. I'm not feeling comfortable with this.

I still think she is progressive and fair by nature. The problem has most likely been with MSNBC. If this forum is independent of MSNBC influence, it could be very good. I hope it will be widely advertised so that Bernie receives maximum exposure to those not familiar with him.

Given DWS' opposition to anything that is not controlled for maximum Hillary support, it would have been nice to have this type of forum earlier. Then the Dem candidates would have been represented in the news cycle more competitively with Repubs.

I really doubt it because I am sure he would have accepted if invited.

If they didn't invite Lessig they didn't invite ALL the candidates.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz. I'm glad it was Maddow who got the gig, and now that MSNBC has broken the DNCs stranglehold on debates, how long will it be until the next challenger steps up to the plate?
