Bernie Sanders

Strap yourselves in, this is going to be a long ride involving a ton of Internet sleuthing. Oh, and DISCLAIMER TIME. This piece is not intended to support or disparage any political candidate. These are still ALLEGATIONS, so if you think Im foaming at the mouth to see anyone put behind bars, Im not. Im simply recording what the Internet dug up.
If youve been on the Internet recently, youve no doubt seen this website mentioned:
EDIT: It has come to my attention that the site has been scrubbed of incriminating evidence. This archive shows the site as it was at the time I was looking around. If youd like to follow along, load it up in another tab!
False Flags and Piñatas
I was linked to Deport Racism by a friend, and the first thing I noticed was a large and prominent link (now removed) to a website dedicated to Bernie Sanders, feelthebern.org. This gave me pause. Sanders has long condemned what he calls soap opera coverage, and I found it unlikely that he would condone his name on a website that offers a $5,000 bounty to anyone who disrupts Trumps performance on SNL this weekend. It just didnt seem like something Sanders would do.
Note: A very good article. Must read. This is not a condemnation of HRC but is probably the work of an overzealous contractor.

(15,716 posts)he came up with the idea of whether someone paid him to do it. Dirty tricks are the game. I still believe Nixon had no idea of what was being done at Watergate. But he allowed the coverup to take place. I don't think the candidates are really ever aware of what is done in their name.

I love learning stuff at DU. Used to happen all the time. Now, not so much. In part that's because I did learn stuff, so I know more and in part it's because a lot of the people from whom I used to learn no longer post here. Still a few, but there used to be lots and lots.

(12,977 posts)According to articles quoted in a DU thread from September, Correct the Record is run by David Brock and was spun off from his American Bridge last spring. That would presumably explain the large one-time transfer between them.

Correct the Record has been responsible for some pretty nasty smears against Bernie Sanders, but I don't see anything besides this current expose connecting it with Luke Montgomery. Is there a connection that isn't spelled out in the article, or is this really a huge missing step?
I don't want to see anyone get Rathergated here.

Edit to add that this is in Part 1.. I have not had a chance to digest everything yet.

(12,977 posts)Maybe there's a link in that "Server Sharing" section which the writer says was removed due to lack of hard evidence. But the following section goes right to "Hillarys main PAC, Hillary for America, paid Correct the Record (Luke Montgomery) a whopping $275,615.43 for 3 months of whats filed as 'research'."
And while the Hillary/Brock connections may be questionable -- though the Clinton campaign seems to think they're within bounds -- I still don't see how you get from Correct the Record to Montgomery.
LiberalArkie
(15,716 posts)for Correct the Record. It is still early in the game and as long as their are some IT pros working on it, if there is any thing, it will be found. A lot of the political groups are still working with 1990's ideas in 2015.

And are the first to claim something as fake even when it supported them. When they get serious, they get serious, otherwise take it with a grain of salt. They believe heavily in peer review.

(4,458 posts)like opposition sh!t-stirring to me....just adding fuel to the delightful and sometimes quite spirited debate between HRC & Sanders supporters.
Also, not only should we all consider RNC interference but it's not out of the realm of possibilities to consider trump himself.
