Clinton's Lead Is Evaporating, and Anxious Democrats See 2008 All Over Again

I honestly don't get the worries by party regulars--it is Sanders who is organizing many of the 63% that did not vote in 2014, not Clinton.

http://readersupportednews.org/news-section2/318-66/34633-clintons-lead-is-evaporating-and-anxious-democrats-see-2008-all-over-again

Just as Barack Obama’s stunning upset there helped assure Democrats in later states that a black man could win votes from whites and propelled him to victory in South Carolina and other places, so, too, could a Sanders victory on Feb. 1 in Iowa and then Feb. 9 in New Hampshire ease some doubts about the viability of a self-described “democratic socialist,” some said.

“It’s just like the weak spot for Barack Obama was his skin color, but he got cured of that in Iowa,” said Rep. James E. Clyburn (D-S.C.), the party’s leading African American in Congress.

“If [Sanders] comes out of Iowa and New Hampshire with big victories — if it’s close in both places, that’s one thing — but if he comes out of there with big victories, hey, man, it could very well be a new day,” Clyburn added.

One Clinton ally on Capitol Hill said some in the party are starting to seriously consider what it would mean for Democrats nationally if Sanders were to win.

Anxious NEW Democrats, perhaps.

I have voted Democratic my entire voting life, and I am excited to see someone gaining traction who represents the ideals of the Democratic Party that I joined in the '70s. That person is not the person who became a corporate lawyer and defended Arkansas utility companies against ACORN and residential ratepayers around the time I joined the party.

Historically, people like Bill and Hillary were moderate Republicans - the "I like Ike" - group. But after the Dixicrats left the Democratic party and the Republican party started going crazy, people like Bill and Hillary became Democrats. Bernie on the other hand isn't and never was a Republican.

The only thing I'm anxious about is how big the landslide in Bernie's favor will be.

Democrats are becoming excited. empowered, creative and finding a voice they feared they had lost forever.

Clinton allies are nervous, and based on the sources of her money, those folks are do not share Democratic values in any substantive way.

With this election cycle and watching Bernie Sanders, I've never felt so excited about the potential going forward.

If anyone with real Democracy in their soul is feeling anxious, the grassroots enthusiasm of the people for Bernie Sanders will overcome the negative fallout from a Clinton primary loss and power a true Democrat to the White House.

If she wins the primary, then it will be a tougher election, but still doable.

The only anxiety I am feeling is over the possibility of Hillary winning, then losing to the GOP, and that is where we should use our anxiety to motivate action in this primary season.

that did not vote in 2014, not Clinton."

The difference is, Bernie WILL expose all of their corruption, stop their pay-to-play Tom Delay politics, stop their gravy train so they'll lose all their extra side cash bonuses and all that money they have stashed overseas, they'll have to pay taxes on it. All their "donations" from Big Oil, Big Pharma, Big Ag, Wall St. And Big Corporations will dry up. Oh noooooes! What's a crook to do?!

Their biggest fear is being exposed as the CROOKS they are. Their fun times are coming to an end. They've had 35 years of screwing us. Enough is enough. Stick a fork in 'em, they're done.

PEACE
LOVE

More obvious now than ever. As Killer Mike would say "Lie. Cheat. Steal. Kill. Win. Everybody's doing it." And they have been doing it. For far too long.

No more lies.

1. He could pick a more conservative Democratic running mate with foreign policy experience to balance the ticket. Jim Webb?

2. Also, if Democrats fear the "socialist label", they are complete wimps! Sanders needs to keep saying over and over again that his views are no more radical than FDR, JFK, and LBJ. Besides, if Hillary is the nominee, the Republicans are going to call her every name in the book anyway, so why the fear?

3. The Democratic Party leaders are way underestimating how pissed off people are. An authentic Democrat will be a beat Republican Light any day!

The rest of us are ecstatic. And yes, they best start to seriously consider what returning to Democratic principles would look like...as they've conveniently and/or pragmatically forgotten.

The anxious type to me would be the Entrenched Establishment Third Way crowd...they're starting to worry about their cushy positions with big money and big power.

How sad. Why in the f*** don't they say/write something about being excited if Bernie wins. That last sentence is very telling.
