Author George RR Martin backs Biden's candidacy

https://thehill.com/blogs/in-the-know/in-the-know/442280-george-rr-martin-backs-bidens-candidacy

George R.R. Martin, author of the “A Song of Ice and Fire” series that became the basis for HBO's “Game of Thrones,” said in a weekend blog post that he's glad to see former Vice President Joe Biden seeking the White House in 2020.

"There are a lot of good Democrats running, maybe too many, and I’d probably vote for any one of them over the present blot upon the Oval Office," Martin said on his personal blog Saturday.

"The main things I want in a nominee, however, are twofold: (1) someone who can beat Trump, and (2) someone who would actually be a good/ great president," he added. "Biden qualifies on both counts."

Martin praised Biden's campaign launch speech as "kickass" and "so true."

Biden/Harris would be an excellent ticket. All that counts is beating trump and having someone who knows what they are doing.
