They couldnt have meetings. Nobody was going to meet. President Obama wanted to meet, and Chairman Kim would not meet him. The Obama administration was begging for a meeting. They were begging for meetings constantly. And Chairman Kim would not meet with him. And for some reason, we have a certain chemistry or whatever.

The Pinocchio Test
As regular readers know, when we fact-check politicians, the burden of proof is on them. In this case, the White House provided no evidence for Trumps claim.
No public records or news articles show that Obama ever tried to meet with Kim. Former U.S. intelligence officials and experts on North Korea said they knew of no evidence for Trumps claim. Many of Obamas top advisers on North Korea said Trumps claim was false.
In fact, Obamas strategy after 2012 was to escalate sanctions and avoid entreaties to North Korea. He very clearly told the world he was not interested in a meeting, but Trump did not get the message and earns Four Pinocchios.
