Time to make DC a state - racism is a big reason it's not. And Liz Warren is pro-DC statehood.

700,000 people is more than the populations of Wyoming or Vermont. But DC residents don’t have an equal voice in our government – despite paying federal taxes. Sign our petition if you agree we need to make DC the 51st state:

Wealth and white people have been steadily coming back to DC. DC was 70% Black in 1970 and 27% White. Today it is 47% Black and 45% White.

But DC, like every other city filled with smart and creative people who get their news from a variety of sources, is very blue and will remain so.
