Makes him s non-starter for me. I like just about everything else about him, including the person. I’m glad he is out there but he has the scent of a Luddite.

I beleive dem strategy for 2020 is to run all kinds of candidates for every person with the goal to get voters excited and get as many of them register to vote. Especially younger voters will see lots of candidates they like unlike 2016.

I like him (as much as our other candidates) and knew his main thing was UBI but I was kind of surprised really when I went on his website and found a long list on his platform...

7. No poli. experience, no experience at all that would directly translate to leading a nation.

That whole 'AI revolution' he loves to go on about is still decades away at this point, mostly due to a lack of necessary infrastructure that Republicans will never likely support building. So in regards to this particular issue, they're useful for once.

Is it something that we, as a nation should be talking about? Yeah. But are their, for the time, more pressing issues? Double yeah.

While I do like a lot of what he has up on his website, I don't see his campaign centerpoint as a immediate issue, so between that and his lack of political experience... Well, he'd have better odds at a Senate run (...So a Presidental run is beneficial in that regard, it gets his name out, gets him a support network, and makes his message known.)

If he wants some political experience though, I could see him being tapped as SOE with his experience as Manhattan Prep and Venture for America.

That said though, his UBI plans in particular? Yeah, that's a bit of a no-go. A flat rate isn't going to be beneficial in the long term, considering how widely costs of living differ in certain states. You'd alleviate issues for a more expensive state, like California, but $1000 is plenty enough to live off of in a number of states which is just going to cause all sorts of rising costs. That's the inherent issue to UBI though - It needs to be be based off of costs of living for each state to prevent widespread inflation, but at the same time tying it to costs of living isn't really going to get you supporters in the 'cheaper' states because all they'd notice is that the city slickers in California are getting three times as much as they are.
