But, clearly he took a pounding from the last debate, and I'm sure that the underhanded attacks will continue, hopefully he does a better job of handling them in real-time in the upcoming debates.

Also, if he remains at 32% or so, he won't have enough delegates for a first ballot victory, if the superdelegates hand him the nomination on the second ballot, there will be a lot of hard feelings to overcome.

if Amy Klobuchar's voters go to Biden, it won't make too much of a difference.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the lowest tier only add up to 10-15% of the total? And there's no guarantee that it will go to one, two, or even three upper tier candidates.

full on to save and improve the ACA,it will be clearer and clearer he alone can beat Trump...wait for the state polls. And if he is ahead by 20 points then he wins...period...Clinton and Obama were not that far apart.

but if Biden takes another hit at the next debate, and especially if he sinks below one or two others in some state polls, he will not acquire that status as the perceived winner. I saw the thread about the California poll, and I didn't even see him registering on it.

It is true that Clinton and Obama were not that far apart in 2008, but I think we have a chance of there being more than two people left standing as we get into the later part of this. Sure, the vanity candidates and 3-4 percenters will be gone, but there's a reasonable chance that we will see it go down to the wire with Biden, Sanders (the Berniebots will never abandon him), Warren, Harris, and Buttigieg all staying in it to win it. Pete Buttigieg seems to have an enormous amount of financial support, I don't see that flagging any time soon.

If there are more than two still in the race...the person with the most delegates gets the nod...end of story...it could not be done any other way. And supers can vote on the second ballot ...they will as always vote for the winner of the primary...Clinton and Obama were close...but still Obama won...won't be any different this time.

Some +1% changes by Biden and Warren, -1% changes by Harris and Buttigieg.

All within the poll's margin of error.

"The interviews were collected from July 8-14, 2019 and have a margin of error of +/- 2%. "

The MorningConsult Poll has consistently been one of Joe Biden's strongest polls, with his support in the low 30's in recent weeks.
