Harris addresses an overflow crowd before a roundtable with women of color in Davenport Iowa.

“The long and the short of it is we need you!” one woman told her.

“We need each other!” Harris told her.

Starting her remarks at today’s Davenport roundtable, Kamala Harris hits Trump on his tweet attacking freshman members of Congress: “Real leadership is about understanding that the greatest strength & power that one can have is the power to lift people up, not to beat them down.”

When there is harm and inequality against one, there is harm and inequality against all. Listening to a women of color roundtable with @KamalaHarris in Davenport, IA.

In Davenport Iowa @KamalaHarris accepts the endorsement of Iowa State Rep. Phyllis Thede at Iowa @LULAC event roundtable. Referencing @realDonaldTrump: “We planned on being here before those statements were made, we plan on being here long after those statements were made.”

Just looked it up and pleased that not only was LULAC's President Jazmin E. Newton was, of course, there but so was Davenport NAACP Vice President Vera Kelly.

Thanks, Hortensis!

Harris and Castro had broken out of the pack and surged into first and second places respectively, displacing Biden and Sanders. Castro had been #3 and Harris way down, so that was dramatic.

Also, 2 out of 3 said anyone but Trump, they'll vote for whoever becomes the Democratic nominee.

I'm thinking this primary season is strongly coalescing everyone under the Democratic umbrella. No matter who the nominee is, our candidates are showing up and ramping it up and helping to lift people out of despair.

Thanks, Hortensis!

"We need each other!"

This is why I am voting for her. It's not about "her", it's about everyone, and we all need to work together. She can bring people together, and after trump we are going to need someone like her to fix the mess he will leave us, and to bring the country together again.
