Democratic activists worry Tulsi Gabbard will launch third-party presidential run ‘to help Donald Trump win’

By Douglas Perry | The Oregonian/OregonLive

Ronald Reagan famously postulated an Eleventh Commandment: “Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican.”

Democrats desperate for a united front against President Donald Trump have hoped their presidential candidates this year would follow a similar decree.

This was, of course, wishful thinking. The knives are out. The latest to strike: Hawaii Democratic Congresswoman and presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard, who took a swipe this week at the candidate who’s arguably the primary race’s new front-runner.

"I think one of the things I’m most concerned with is Kamala Harris is not qualified to serve as commander-in-chief, and I can say this from a personal perspective as a soldier,” Gabbard said.

I hope that Tulsi does not choose the course of action suggested in the article.

with some attack she does on another candidate.

her attacking KAmala harris over the Biden thing had nothing to do with defending Biden. so even if you think Harris' attack on Biden was BS, don't use Gabbard to support it. there are already many others you can use plus it hasn't really hurt Biden.

and i believe DebLasio is doing the same thing but he will more likely go after the male candidates.

remember that tulsi Gabbard also complained about how Elizabeth Warren was getting favorable attention from the media while she(gabbard) was being treated unfairly.

don't fall for the obvious bs.

Gabbard isn't running to win herself. she is running to make sure democrats lose .

I have no crystal ball.. but that's what I'd like to see happen if she so much as hinted a 3rd party run/or endorsing trump.

If Gabbard were to do this, she'd be labeled a spoiler and her political career would go up in smoke. Anything's possible but she hasn't had very flattering things to say about the Trumpster.

Again, we could be looking at churn for the sake of churn and disruption by outsiders.

Tulsi Gabbard isn’t going to run as a Green in 2020.

Neera Tanden is the president of a big Establishment organization. Calling her a “Democratic activist” is misleading.

They have an impact ONLY when we come into races divided, like we were in 2000 and 2016.

Let her run as a Green. That kills her House seat and she will have no impact on our Presidential candidate if we are united. My guess is that she would actually hurt Trump more.
