Hmmmm.. how will some of those who spent 40 minutes attacking the most popular Democratic

President living.. or probably who ever lived.. (96% of Democrats.. it just does not get any better than that..).. and lets just say they (the attackers) get the nomination.. how in the hell do they then turn to the Obama people to come and back them up in the election etc.. (not that they wouldn't.. the Obama's would stand up for any Democrat.) and think about how the republicans are going to use this against any Democratic nominee.. how the party candidates ran against him.. I am just stunned at how stupid that was and is..

Thu Aug 1, 2019, 01:27 PM
Aug 2019

This whole thing is being run like Trump TV shows, apprentice, etc etc etc
It must thrill the Repubs to no end to see this charade on parade in front of national TV Democratic watchers.
It is beyond pathetic...........

I love the way they do the heavy lifting for the Repubs by letting them tear each other down. This provides the Repub with serious talking points against whomever wins the nomination. Being from Colorado, the fact that Hickenlooper or Bennet are even included in this travesty is a complete joke.......this applies to at least about 8-10 others up there on the stage.

I honestly think that the Repubs are going to get every last diversion out of Trump's daily antics, continuing to shove everything they hope to accomplish through while everyone's attention is focused daily on Trump. At the last minute the Repubs will impeach Trump, get Pence in there and run a pathetic lap poodle VP with him. Then they can tell their wavering supporters: "Look we saw the problem, came right in and took care of the problem and we are back to the Good Ol' GOP with great True Republicans that you all can feel good about voting for........."

When they spring this plan on Trump, they hopefully will have already moved the "football" out of Trump's reach and notified the military commanders not to obey any orders by Trump. They will also have to have the Secret Service clued to this so they can get ready to deal with Master Trump when he TOTALLY flips out.........

Narcistic Tyrants have a tendency to pay everyone back who is against them with some grandiose horrific actions...........Especially the Republicans who would have engineered the whole thing and spring it on him without warning with out any drawn out delays.....

They will also need to remove him from the public so he doesn't spill information on the large mass of Republican Politicians that have also been aiding the Russians, voting for anything that Putin wants and taking tons of money from the Russians, funneled thru the NRA.

AND Remember they will still have all the Judges they have appointed in place, all the Republicans in the Senate in place, all the advisers they have appointed in place, all the cabinet members in place, all the Supreme Court Justices in place, and all the de-regulation and changes in laws in place.............WASF

The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2007 (full name: Secure Borders, Economic Opportunity and Immigration Reform Act of 2007 (S. 1348)) was a bill discussed in the 110th United States Congress that would have provided legal status and a path to citizenship for the approximately 12 million illegal immigrants residing in the United States. The bill was portrayed as a compromise between providing a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants and increased border enforcement: it included funding for 300 miles (480 km) of vehicle barriers, 105 camera and radar towers, and 20,000 more Border Patrol agents, while simultaneously restructuring visa criteria around high-skilled workers. The bill also received heated criticism from both sides of the immigration debate. The bill was introduced in the United States Senate on May 9, 2007, but was never voted on, though a series of votes on amendments and cloture took place. The last vote on cloture, on June 7, 2007, 11:59 AM, failed 34–61 effectively ending the bill's chances. A related bill S. 1639, on June 28, 2007, 11:04 AM, also failed 46–53.

DACA, which Biden mentioned. Yeah, he could have been more clear, as they all could have been at times. But the questioner went from baiting him to defend Obama’s deportations quickly into asking if he, Biden, had tried to stop them.

Biden has always given strong defense of and loyalty to Obama. So he wasn’t prepared for Democratic rivals to attack Obama and bait him into second-guessing him.

and attempting to tie Biden to it. Since Obama wasn't there it certainly was a different game. However, we've all made mistakes in the past. They were going after those in a strategic way. Personally, I disagreed with several of Obama's decisions.

Still, at some level, I agree with you. He certainly was the best president in my adult lifetime. Perhaps it was naive of them to that route but with so many candidates in the field they are seeking to distinguish their positions. We'll have to see how it plays out. I'm hopeful that should a Warren or Booker end up the Nominee, all or almost all of the Biden people will be on board. But Biden does have to figure out how to defend his position with regard to the Obama legacy. Trump will be on it like a laser and you know that well already.

The process is a bit painful. And, I'm with you in being frightened that we must at some point become one and really figure out how to get rid of the dangerous orange clown occupying the White House right now.

Perhaps we all need to settle down a touch. Let's see where the August polling takes us. I think it will be interesting. After all, in a democracy - it is suppose to be the people, not the politicians, nor their campaigns - who get to decide.

He won't have any problem attacking Trump, though. I'm sure he hates what that Bozo says and does each day.

Two, they are making Biden pay for bills he passed or helped pass years ago. The scene changes over the years and laws are changed. They say Biden is slow on the uptake, well...I'll just bet some of the accusers can't remember what they said/did 30-50 years ago. Particularly when opponents are yelling at you from all sides. Was that a planned attack(s)?

It just grinds the chalkboard for me when he is attacked and particularly makes me mad to find out the attack was pre-planned, not spontaneous, to do so. Biden isn't an enemy of other candidates for heaven's sake.

As for Obama, I had to pick my jaw up off the floor at some of those comments. Trump is going to use each and every one of those comments in the campaign debates and GOP ads...they were just feeding him lines.

Wake up and engage your brain before your mouths, folks. Last night, I was able to file away some of the candidates as no longer relevant. It isn't Biden or Obama's fault that you are polling low or starting to lose ground. Get real!

If I were to vote in a presidential

I will NOT vote for ANYONE that attacks another democrat!!! The main thing all of them needs to do is BEAT THE REPUBLICANS. Not attack each other. Tell us what YOU are going to do to fix our government. And.............as far as VP Biden is concerned, he is a national hero - QUIT ATTACKING HIM!! If they haven't anything better to run on than running down another democrat, they better stay home!!

And...........as far as President Obama is concerned, he did a wonderful job even tho, the republicans would not work with him at all and vetoed everything. President Obama fought them every inch of the way. He held his head up high and still did a lot despite the negative republicans that would not support him at all.

Attacking Biden's Senate votes has zero to do with Obama. I felt CNN brought much of this on with a series of gotcha questions but the candidates didn't have to take the bait.

Let’s face it, there are only so many Democratic “A” level political strategists for hire. After the top 5 candidates have hired the best - you get the leftovers - political hacks who think attacking President Obama is a good idea. The bottom tier candidates should ask for their money back after getting shit advice like this.

42. Snatching Defeat from the Jaws of Victory
Thu Aug 1, 2019, 02:44 PM
Aug 2019

Last night's debate left me angry. To defeat the worst president in our history, all the Democrats have to do is show up, act respectful of one another and debate to the best of their abilities the issues that are undermining our democracy. Instead, those who are consumed with ambition have reached back decades to find something that will hurt or embarrass their opponents. Those irresponsible candidates are turning off voters--literally snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. How very stupid and immature. We deserve better.

fifty years ago, he certainly has a right to refer to the eight years that he served in the Obama
administration where he was responsible for far more duties than most VPs in recent history.

Biden envy and desperation to score a hit are not good reasons to try to get at Biden by throwing
Obama under the bus. Shame on those who did.

by attacking President Obama.. Stupid does not even begin to explain it.. The man took us out of the great recession.. nothing as bad since the depression.. put us on the road to recovery.. everywhere.. jobs 200,000 plus.. even the deficit started going down.. not to mention Health Care that Roosevelt could not do.. and that is the person they want to attack.. God save us if they get in office

And may I add his VP.. Joe Biden.. put all the work into getting Detroit back on track.. and pushed the envelope so for equal marriage.. I sit and think about it and get myself so worked up I could cry

Going after Obama and extending the meme that Barack Obama's Administration was naive and/or too cautious to push "big ideas,' particularly in the atmosphere we're experiencing at the moment? Borders on suicidal madness. And political malfeasance.

President Obama's approval numbers are off the charts with Democratic voters. Our own base, people we need to come out in droves to vote in 2020, love and respect President Obama, deeply yearn for a sense of normalcy, a return to the calmness of a POTUS who steered us away from the cliffs of economic ruin to mention only one disaster dumped on the man's plate. And whatever the challenge was, whether you agree with the end result or not, the man always acted with dignity and grace and honor.

So yes, this whole scenario simply plays into Trump's hand who couldn't ask for a better gift--talking about Barack Obama rather than his own incompetence, corruption and thug-like behavior.

Dumb and dumber.
