A piece of advice from someone at Costco.. stop saying

that people only choose a candidate because they recognize their name.. Ran into a church member at Costco, and we discussed the debates.. she is a supporter of VP Biden.. and is pretty ticked.. seems that the new meme by the chattering classes on TV that the only reason so many POC have chosen VP Biden is because of name recognition only .. Trust me.. at this point, people know who is running.. and it is insulting to accuse people of choosing someone because of that..

Someone, somewhere grab people and tell them to stop digging that hole.. its is plenty deep enough.. if people do not agree with you about a candidate, it does not mean that they are clueless.. it is not because they are somehow "ignorant" (my church members choice of words)..

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Bernie Sanders' name recognition is just a smidgen below than Biden's but it hasn't helped him much if at all.

And is followed by the later polls including
Emerson Biden 33, Sanders 20, Warren 14, Harris 11.

Quinnipiac sampled 7/25-28
Emerson sample 7/27-29

Sanders has never dipped to third place on the RCP Averages (unfortunately)

Not just name. People felt they KNEW Joe Biden long before he announced, and have for decades, and for the most part that's pretty much the case. For most people, other candidates are still mostly or entirely blank screens instead of ones filled with memories and information, but not him.

Beyond recognition, many millions of people like and are comfortable with this guy they feel they know well enough to trust. VP Biden is a statesman, the only one in the running, and he is a very significant legacy of President Obama that Trump has not been able to destroy.

Democratic Underground isn't even remotely reflective of the electorate as a whole. Even here at DU there are people saying they didn't know Mike Gravel had been seeking the nomination. Hell, there are people saying they had never heard of him, in spite of the fact he ran in 2008, as well.

Look at Bernie sanders and how low his support is even though he is the only other candidate on the same level as Biden with name recognition .
