Michael Avenatti is mulling a run for president again after declaring he would not seek nomination

The firebrand attorney Michael Avenatti is back considering a run for the Democratic nomination for president after he declared last year he wouldn't take part in the contest.

Avenatti, who in the past represented porn star Stormy Daniels against the likes of President Donald Trump and his then fixer Michael Cohen, told CNBC late on Friday that he is yet again contemplating entering the expansive 2020 arena.

"Never say never," he said when asked if he's going to get into the race. "The Dems need a non-traditional fighter. They have a lot of talent but not a lot of fighters." He later noted that the odds of him getting into the race are at 50/50 and he could make his decision in a few months.

"I don't think I need to make a final decision for a number of months. I have the name ID and everyone knows I'm one of the few effective fighters that the Dems have," he said.

However, considering the indictments charging multiple felony counts, backed up by paper trails, he's pretty well screwed.

Seemed real close, and I've always doubted it was coincidental. If Trump were going to sick Barr on his multitude of enemies, I gotta think Avenatti would rate right up there close to the top of *Don Kremleone's list.

(*Don Kremleone is a new moniker I just borrowed from another brilliant DUer)

of grifting in many different ways - and now he’s been charged with stealing from a disabled client, stealing from his law partners, stealing from Stormy Daniels, tax evasion- and the accusations are backed up by extensive paper trails. He’s a common criminal, not a liberal hero being wrongly persecuted by Trump.

But I would never dismiss the possibility of Trump targeting him - now that he's using the Justice Department as his own tool to attack people.

I doubt many of us have been privy to all of the evidence - even the extensive paper trails.

I don't deny that Avenatti is a brash loudmouth - but it's surprising his recklessness would approach such Trumpian proportions. Perhaps they did.

But there was a time when Avenatti was about the most fearless Trump basher in the public's eye - and his representation of Stormy Daniels did play into the prosecution and flipping of Michael Cohen - who destroyed Trump in his public testimony.

Never underestimate Trump's vindictiveness.

He went after MF45 ruthlessly, and exposed embarrassing things. Hard to believe he wasn't smart enough to realize that making himself that kind of target isn't a good idea when he had his own embarrassing crimes to hide.

I'm glad for what Avenatti did against MF45, too bad he's apparently also a criminal, and that there's a shortage of "clean" people to bring that kind of fight to MF45, Moscow Mitch, Leningrad Lindsey, USSR Barr and the rest of the republicon scumbags.

The federal investigation of Cohen had already begun months before Avenatti filed the lawsuit against him. I will say that he did a pretty good job of taking credit for it, though.
