Are candidates who visit mosques going to get called out on their LGBT views?

I see a few candidates getting hammered for visiting a Baptist Church headed by an anti-LGBT pastor.

Several candidates have visited mosques during their campaigns. Should they equally be on the hot seat for possibly attending religious institutions that have anti-LGBT views? Have those been vetted on this topic?

I think it's all ridiculous myself. All candidates should reach out to all voters, being heard by people you may disagree with on a couple of topics is not a bad thing.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Inslee, Sanders, Mayor Pete, Warren, de Blasio.

Inslee is not the only candidate courting the Muslim vote. He joins a number of 2020 Democratic presidential candidates who have campaigned in Muslim communities around the country.

Prior to the 2020 election, presidential candidates rarely ― if ever ― visited a mosque on the campaign trail.

But it's not a popular opinion in that religion, unless you have something proving otherwise?

The smart candidates will be prepared.

It will also be interesting to see how mosques and female candidates deal with each other in negotiating any visits.

All in all, though, I’d like to see no interaction in any places of worship. Sure, visit communities and secular centers but no places of worship. Period.

Either avoid them all or visit all types. Outreach is generally a positive especially with groups that we share a common (R) enemy with.

And their appointments to positions that could influence LGBT rights (like Justice department appointments).

I don’t think we have any candidates that will not sign or veto any Democratic party led legislation expanding equal rights for our community.

I don’t think we have any candidates that will pass or fail to veto any Republican party led legislation that reduces our equal rights.

I trust every one of our candidates will make appointments that will support equality within their areas of authority.

As long as no candidate verbally or through action indicates that they support the homophobic aspects of those they engage within the campaign, personally, I’m okay with it be it engagement with a Christian, or Muslim, or Hindu, or temple of Zeus leader.
