As a Presidential aspirant, I understand that politics won't leave his side, but really?

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Ken Olin
@kenolin1
I apologize to everyone I offended. If it’s any consolation
@BetoORourke
doesn’t care about my opinions. I do think the world of him & what he stands for. I believe he would be a fine President. But I don’t believe he’ll get the nomination. And I’d like to see the Senate flipped.

I have had Beto supporters here telling me Pete should drop out (that was probably a month ago or so, when Pete was polling anywhere from double to quadruple Beto at the time, and in a few cases much more), so I am not going to get argy bargy with all this talk of who should drop out and who should not. It is up to each candidate. That said I am much more in favour of Bullock being the first to switch from POTUS to the Senate race, as he is by far our best shot at flipping MT.

I don't think so either, but this is a good opportunity to deter potential supporters/donors - and the Washington Post has been very blatant and consistent in its bias

Is he going to all the funerals? Personally, I wouldn’t want any politician at my loved one’s funeral. Even if I liked that politician.

He needs to be careful not to be seen as overplaying this.

Opinion: Instead Of Begging Beto To Run For Senate, Support The Women Running
____
For those worried about an unpopular John Cornyn sailing to reelection in 2020, back some of the other candidates running for Senate from Texas—including a black woman.

John Cornyn is not unpopular in Texas and not hated nationally like Ted Cruz. With Trump on the ticket Beto would probably lose the Senate race by around 5-10%.

Notice that Beto has been smart to not attack Biden, he knows he needs a backup plan like maybe a job in the Biden Administration since his chances at statewide office in Texas are probably nil until at least 2024 for Cruz's seat again.

It is really poor taste for those closely connected with other campaigns (Like Sirota who works for Bernie and a couple of Pete's big donors) to be pushing this Drop Out crap this week.

He could move to Maine and run for the Senate against Susan Collins. As Obama's beloved VP he would win easily. Not sure what the residency regulations are in Maine.
