...health care forums would seem to attract folks who are intimately involved with health matters; seniors prominent among them.

4. I think the forum was at 10:30 AM -

most younger folks working at that time, so us old geeks tend to be the daytime audiences.

Plus I believe Iowa is one of the oldest states by age anyway.
