Jennifer Rubin is wondering if there will be a mea culpa from the media for hyping the Monmouth poll

I wish there would be. There should be. But I don't expect it.

It was released with an inadequate sample with an extremely high MOE

Typically, anything with <0.05 Alpha is significant. Why release a poll with a 0.06 alpha knowing full well that it is not significant? It was released because it fit someone's agenda and wanted to create positive momentum for political purposes.

that is pure conspiracy theory, and this is not the first time you are saying it

and no, mileage may not vary (as you flippantly told me last time)

it is inflammatory and non-productive to keep banging on this unproven, conspiratorial angle

the poll was a one-off anomaly

it was a shit poll, there was no master plan to game it for ANYONE

It always was a low sample poll, you just grasping at straws

NO Biden supporters were commenting about its sample size when it was showing Biden at 32, 33%

the average sample size for the last 6 months (when, again due to the results being to your approval, you never said boo about) was 315

This one was 298, the one before was 306

you even, in another thread said they should have breached their modus operandi and continued to sample until they had a similar sample to the last one

well oki

lets run with that

8 more voters sampled to equal exactly the last poll in sample size (again in which which Biden got 32% and not a peep from anyone)

As if 3 more votes for Biden gained would matter (BTW an additional 3 of those 8 to Biden is giving him 37.5% of those 8, which is a higher than he ever polled in this poll) 3 more votes to him makes him go up SIX TENTHS of one percent, from 19 to 19.6, 4 more (so half of the 8 additional takes him to 19.9%, all 8, a complete sweep takes him to 21.2%, still 11 points down from his 32% from the poll before AND now with the exact same sample size

...and neither should anyone else. This is now, 2019, and our Republic is in grave danger. She is fighting the good fight. She may not be a Dem, though she is--thankfully--supporting one now. But she is waging a battle to save the soul of conservatism--something that, if our democracy is going to survive, *must* happen. I regard her as a comrade, as Whigs and Tories were in the Revolution of 1688, whatever their other differences. We don't have the time for the self-indulgence of refighting ancient battles. The one we're in now is too important.
