Enthusiasm builds for Elizabeth Warren

Enthusiasm builds for Elizabeth Warren with crowds of 12,000 in St. Paul and 15,000 in Seattle.

Voters wait for hours in Elizabeth Warren's 'selfie' line. Is her strategy working?
August 30, 2019
….snip
Wall wasn’t just in any Warren "selfie line" on Sunday. The Massachusetts senator had just wrapped up her largest campaign event ever, attended by about 15,000 people, her team estimates, impressing observers again with her growing crowd sizes and their enthusiasm.

From start to finish, the "selfie line" took four hours.

A few days earlier at her second-largest event — a 12,000-person rally in St. Paul, Minnesota — the "selfie line," misnamed because Warren staffers take the photos, took two hours and 20 minutes. A few days before that, a line after Warren's town hall in Los Angeles took three hours.
…snip
And over the past week, as Warren saw three of her biggest crowds yet, it was the three- or four-hour photo lines as much as it was the crowd sizes that sparked conversations about enthusiasm around her rising campaign. Despite a rough start in January, she has steadily risen over the summer months to consistently hold one of the top three spots in the polls.

If you haven't read it, here's an article written about her rally in Tempe, Arizona.

Elizabethan
Warren knows the power of words
By Peter Marks
AUGUST 21, 2019
TEMPE, Ariz. — She enters in an ordinary blouse and slacks, not a toga. And yet, when Sen. Elizabeth Warren takes the stage of a music hall in this sweltering Sun Belt city, it is with a command of the occasion that might have “Julius Caesar’s” Marc Antony taking notes.

The vocal modulation. The oratorical rhythm. The instinct for a good story: She’s got the ingredients for a magnetic performance. And she delivers. When Warren speaks, you lean in.

lots more at the link, a fun read

Currently shows 🎃🤡 winning in a race v. Warren. Who reads an article about 15,000 people showing up at a campaign event only to vote like that?

She is a big threat to established norms of back scratching between banks, politicians, and major corporations. Especially those in the oil and gas sector, the pharmaceutical industries, and private medical insurers. She is Bernie with lipstick, and a less caustic personality, and a greater oratory skill beyond one liners. They will not let her win. But I hope they fail at that.

There's enough time for anything to happen. Some "dirt" they can exploit at the right time, and use their friends in the MSM news media to harp on it as much as Hillary's emails. But probably they won't go full def con 5 unless it is within 6 months of the primaries and Warren actually overtakes Biden. But they are ready if that happens. I'm sure there are already preliminary plans being discussed.

If selfies take two minutes to do that means Warren has 120 people posting to friends on social media that gets shared and people see people like them supporting Warren. Then it could grow exponentially.

She does lack experience targeting her economic and social justice plans to POC. Her focus has been more professorial, imo. She champions for the best interests of all citizens. imo

What would it take for Senator Warren to broaden her support? She needs to combine self reflection with some reliable focus group input as a start.

For the record: the sources for the articles I post have been vetted. I was disappointed that a Democrat would make this comment without any factual basis. Best wishes joe
