Joe Biden attended fundraiser hosted by fossil fuel company co-founder despite backlash
Former Vice President Joe Biden attended a fundraiser Thursday that was hosted by a fossil fuel company co-founder after he faced backlash because he has pledged not to accept money from the fossil fuel industry.
During CNN's town hall on climate change Wednesday night, Biden was accused by an audience member of taking money from a fossil fuel executive despite signing on to the No Fossil Fuel Money pledge.
Hes not a fossil fuel executive, Biden responded, referring to Andrew Goldman, one of the fundraiser's hosts.

Just like it's wrong to accept the maximum $2800 from a contributor in one donation, but it's perfectly fine to accept $2800 from a contributor as long as it's made in 900+ small, underaverage dribs and drabs.

"I pledge not to take contributions over $200 from oil, gas, and coal industry executives, lobbyists, and PACs and instead prioritize the health of our families, climate, and democracy over fossil fuel industry profits.
Taking the pledge means that a politician or candidates campaign will adopt a policy to not knowingly accept any contributions over $200 from the PACs, lobbyists, or SEC-named executives of fossil fuel companies companies whose primary business is the extraction, processing, distribution, or sale of oil, gas, or coal."

The person in question that was co-hosting the fundraiser was apparently none of those things, hence, the pledge was not broken. Now that you are educated on the topic, please stop slandering our Democratic frontrunner with lies. Thank you.
