And of course 45% say it doesn't matter.
But this does confirm that there's concern about moving too far left among a substantial percentage of Democrats.
Which is useful info when you sometimes see very liberal Dems argue that it's only Republicans or formerly Republican Never Trumpers who think Democrats are more likely to beat Trump if their nominee isn't too far left.

(11,986 posts)...asks people to make a guess as to who they feel OTHER people will vote for. Which is largely going to be a regurgitation of what they've "heard", or perhaps demonstrate their biases about how they think other people will think. That might have some value in some kind of psychological analysis of voters' perceptions, but it is useless in telling us anything about who would actually win.
