Contrast that with Amy Klobuchar's response when asked about the attack:

(48,975 posts)ABC and others have fact-checked Castro on this.
It was a pathetic, nasty attack -- and it was dead wrong.

(15,315 posts)So, I don't care about ABC's "fact check". But even if it were the case, I think the attacks on Castro are still over the top. I think the fact that the debates were civil are pushing people to feel the need to call someone out. Castro, it is.

(15,315 posts)I've seen mostly the typical pundits and tweets. But even if a Dem or two thinks he's wrong, they're entitled to their opinion. I'm sure it's probably being voiced a lot classier than what I've seen here.

Anyone who cant afford it gets automatically enrolled in the Medicare-type option we have, Biden said of his plan.

(2,921 posts)Beto, Klobuchar, and every other Democrat I've seen. Castro lied. He'll never get anywhere near The White House. His career is over. Booker knows better. To act in a despicable, cowardly manner like Castro is beneath him.

(10,828 posts)I've aways liked the man from what I'd seen and read. But my son directed me to a couple of articles, none too flattering about his tenure in Newark. And my son really went off on Booker's 'Spartacus' moment.
"A blatant opportunist," he said. "Another PR moment."
So, I don't know. I guess it's something like: will the real Cory Booker please stand up. Or not.

(2,018 posts)Bidens gaffes, including the ones involving memory, are a big deal. But you dont have that conversation by being mean spirited on a debate stage, with the attack as your key point to distinguishing yourself for the night.

(16,887 posts)Democrats need to be united and can get their message across without attacking each other. They can also highlight and differentiate themselves without attacking each other. Neither Booker or Castro seem to understand that and in a desperate attempt to say "Look at me" and think that they would magically leap ahead by attacking Biden, they will quickly learn that it has the opposite effect.
Ironically both should have been focused on how they might have a shot at the 2nd position - for VP or in the cabinet of the next Democratic President. But then again maybe they both realize they have other ambitions (such as Booker keeping his Senate seat or Castro running for a Texas office) and so their message was with that in mind.
(Amy Klobuchar in my opinion showed how it is done with class and as a strong democrat and I like her more and more...)
Who knows what was in the minds of Booker and Castro, I can only say "bye bye"....

(91 posts)Elizabeth Warren was the calmest of the bunch. The rest of them were like elementary or middle school children, screaming and yelling at each other to compete for attention.
I'll also add that Kamela Harris was wrong to blast Biden the way she did, as well, especially because Biden was not altogether wrong about mandatory school busing, which was a fiasco in many places, including Boston.
