I'm headed to Vegas. I know what our ticket will be.

You might want to place a side bet on my advice.
Our ticket will be:
Elizabeth Warren/Cory Booker or Andrew Gillum
(OR)
Joe Biden/Kamala Harris or Stacey Abrams
I’m gonna place several bets with those combinations.

Now, please, my fellow Dem soothsayers tell me if I’m on track and should bet the mortgage or way off base and should just go see Wayne Newton instead of betting.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Although ewarren is an Okie - MA+NJ is not a good look.

Stacey is looking for the VP slot. Despite denials, I believe Biden made her his running mate.

The second Biden parings seem more logical.

I don't dislike Booker or Gillum, but they've both got some baggage from their previous time in Newark and Tallahassee, respectively, that I don't think Warren would want to have to deal with.

But, he screwed the pooch.
I do think Warren would choose a male person of color.
I also think Biden would choose a female person of color.

the best match would be Pete. If I had to choose a running mate I could trust, on any stage or venue, to stay on message, without a gltich, there would be no contest.

Pete would hurt us with many straight males even including people of color. Especially Latino religious males. All polling shows that.

Pete is a fabulous talent ... but having 1. an all white ticket, and 2. prejudice against gay men amongst POC, rules him out. Kamala could get away with having Pete on the ticket, ewarren can not. (my 2c)

I think it will be Biden and Abrams. In fact, I think they have already discussed it. Gillum is a sleeper. I think he is a dynamic campaigner. The VP choice will not come from the debate stage. One more thing- keep your eye on the Califorina DA.

Not sure about the Warren picks. I like Gillum, but I've heard very little about who Warren might pick, so I'd hedge any bets in that direction. That said, I do agree that a male of color would make the best ticket for Warren. I don't particularly like a Booker pairing though.

For Biden, Abrams is probably the consensus pick, but the odds you see in Vegas will likely reflect that. If you will note, ever since the first debate, Harris has been playing much more nicely with Biden. Especially after her numbers went back down from the short bounce she got from that. She knew she needed a big moment and took her shot with that. It didn't last, so she's now trying new tactics. Part of that is showing Biden (and perhaps more so Obama) the respect they deserve. If Biden does not pick Abrams as his running mate, I would put significant odds on it being Harris. (I'd personally put it about 65/30/5% for Abrams/Harris/someone else.)

As for doing something else... surely you can do better than Wayne Newton. Maybe go see one of the many Cirque du Soleil shows that are always running. But don't necessarily listen to me, I spend all my time in Las Vegas at the poker tables.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
