If Biden is nominated, and all things are equal. Biden will win.

....Now, we are talking about a nomination more than a year away. Providing that Biden is healthy in the summer 16 months from now, and he desires to run for the Presidency at that time, and Biden is nominated by us, ..(yes, lots of events can interfere with that desire) then he will win. This assumes Trump is still in there, and he is at the same level of support that he is now. If Pence is in there, then I still think Biden will win.
..The single most important event is that we win the 2020 election. And we gain control of the Senate as well as the House. No matter what happens in the Senate or House, Biden will defeat Trump.
...The future could be anything. But if all things remain similar to now, Biden vs Trump. Biden will win hands down..no discussion and no worry about it.

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

3. I think so too. One important consideration..WE MUST WIN in 2020.

We must win to save this country. We must win to reverse the hate and fear that Trump sends out. We must win to return this country to "normalcy" We must win to reverse those pieces of legislation that Trump drove through to hurt the U.S.A. We must win..So I ask. Which current political figure has the very best chance to beat Trump?
...Now we don't know what 2020 will bring. No one knows. It is the future. Still we must win. Biden if healthy and he desires to run, will win if he is nominated.

President but he has tried running for President before. It didn't go well.

We all love to love him, but he does have baggage. All of it will come out if he is nominated.

I don't think he can cut down Dipshit with a snappy comeback. I hope he proves me wrong. He seems to be a very thoughtful kind person who cares about the middle class and the poor.

I wish MSM would stop with the poll numbers. They mean absolutely nothing as this time. When a few debates are over we will start to get a more clearer picture of the top tier candidates, but till then polls mean shit.

I will vote for whoever wins. I do not want to see a primary where any candidate cuts down the others... candidates... state your positions, get as many votes for yourself as you can, when the convention comes, throw your support to whoever has the lead or is in second (if not you).

whoever in the nominee gets my money and my vote and as many others as I can drive the polls or contact with door to door visits, online posts, etc.

8. Former Mass. Gov. William Weld to announce possible run for president
Mon Mar 18, 2019, 08:15 PM
Mar 2019

William Weld, the former Republican governor of Massachusetts who was the Libertarian Party's nominee for vice president in 2016, is mulling a run for president and could make an announcement about a possible presidential run in the next few weeks.

Sources tell NewsCenter 5 he notified his law firm that he will be taking leave of absence and it is unclear whether he is announcing the run or announcing the formation of an exploratory committee.

And if our people show up, we win. I ultimately think that the aversion to Trump will ultimately drive people to the polls, but I'm not 100% sure our base is going to be all that enthusiastic about another old white dude, especially when women (particularly women of color) carried us in 2018. And I say that as a white guy myself.

That doesn't mean Biden can't win, and I'd be proud to support him in the general (and I'm not ruling him out in the primary), but I'm not so sure he's a lock for anything.

14. Opinion: The myth of ideology, and why Democrats' energy isn't all on the left
Tue Mar 19, 2019, 12:19 AM
Mar 2019

The vast majority of Democratic primary voters then and now do not identify as democratic socialists. Perhaps Sanders capitalized on unaffiliated anti-establishment types and Democrats who preferred him despite his ideology and not because of it. Move forward to the 2020 contests. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) is providing the most substantive, interesting agenda that committed progressives could hope to see. Yet she is lagging in the polls. If this was all about progressive ideology and policy plans, she’d be running rings around the rest of the field.

As for Sanders, he benefits this time around from 100 percent name identification. However, the flip side of 100 percent name ID is that he’s no longer new, no longer saying things no one else will. He’s just as much of a democratic socialist as he was in 2016, but in the space of a few days we’ve seen that the “energy” isn’t all on the left; it’s drifting toward a centrist, young, optimistic candidate. Voters follow the energy and the ethos. They don’t carry around a thermometer gauging where on the scale of ideological purity each candidate rates.....

All you need to be is progressive enough to win a Democratic primary. Seeming more moderate than the Sanders clan is an advantage in the general election.

Why are pundits, the media and party insiders so convinced that ideological extremism equals energy/success? Part of it may be wishful thinking for progressives. However, part of the difficulty is linguistic. "Moderate” sounds to many ears to mean mild-mannered, prone to compromise and wishy-washy in beliefs. Nonsense. If ever there was a radical moderate, a fervent centrist Democrat, it’s O’Rourke. And gosh, he’s showing that can be exciting.

Biden being a sane moderate is a good thing
