I've been feeling very good all day as I recall SNL's Warren opener.

Every time I think about the SNL skit about Warren last night I experience waves of excitement. Why?

First, of course, there's the mere fact that she's in a position to get the SNL cold open spotlight.

But it showed a light on a bunch of other things, too.

- She has brought Medicare for All to the point of being a serious proposal that smart people are entertaining and arguing about, thus educating the rest of us to the idea that it's a thinkable thought. Sanders couldn't do that.

- It points out that universal health care is way too complex for ordinary people to argue about intelligently. We have to rely on people we trust.

- Millions of viewers heard the idea that people like their current insurance because it's not unknown.

- She's SO energetic!

- Of course not every line in the skit reflected the real Elizabeth, like "Aw... go to hell," but hey, Live from New York, IT'S SATURDAY NIGHT!!!!"

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

I'm pretty sure Senator Warren is big enough to take the joke. When she is President there will be a lot more skits this is a nice warm up.
