So Bloomberg says he will spend $100M on his campaign

Let's see.

His wealth is projected at $52.4B according to Forbes: [link:https://www.forbes.com/profile/michael-bloomberg/#2a7604cd1417|

His tax cuts thanks to Trump were 2.6% on income and 14% on corporate taxes.

$100M is a measly 0.19% of his wealth.

He can run for President, self fund, tell me how bad a wealth tax is and how bad an estate tax is, spend a measly portion of his Trump tax savings, and still have many tens of thousands of millions left over. His total wealth goes from $52.4 Billion all the way down to $52.3 Billion, if that.

$Billionaires for Bloomy!

10. His party affiliation seems to wander

I wonder if his party affiliation tracks with his vested interests?

From Wikipedia:

Political party Democratic (before 2001, 2018–present)
Independent (2007–2018)
Republican (2001–2007)

I guess he really liked George. W. Bush enough to be a Republican starting in 2001. Or maybe it tracked his political desires to be Mayor of NYC?

Independent enough to not be a Democrat during most of the Obama years.

Now a new found Democrat again?

Looks like an opportunist to me.

She clearly says that she was a Republican until she got to see inside Wall Street and see what a putrid stinking mess it is. All about the buck and nothing about the people.

She has been die-hard Dem since. And she walks the walk.

She saw the light and I welcome her. So much so that she is my candidate in the primaries.

How about Bloomy? Seems a bit of an opportunist. No? Dem when it benefits him. Indy when that is what he needs. Repub to get elected to office?

Let the man run. Is the primary only limited to Washington insiders? I support Biden but I could care less if Mike enters. He's done alot for progressive causes and has every right to run. Like about 7 on our debate stage, he has no real chance of the nomination but he's free to spend his money on a run. He's on our side. Stop the disparaging comments on a good guy. Ignore him

14. The constitution specifies a minimum age to run for President

It should have also specified a maximum wealth (and required regular inflation adjustment).

He could buy the primary if he wanted to but I think there is a gap between his ego and real support that $100mm doesn't bridge.
