Trump Border Wall

"The difference? The [fossil fuel] industry owes Americans and global community an uncountable debt for poisoning our communities," tweeted Isa Flores-Jones, a press fellow with the youth-led Sunrise Movement. "Not to mention all those billions of dollars in subsidies owed to the American people. Which brings us to a daily reminder that we pay FF industry $5.2 trillion a year to destroy us."
(snip)
But as the left-wing magazine Current Affairs and others pointed out on Twitter, the "experts" cited by the Times include an adviser to South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg, a business professor and maxed-out Hillary Clinton donor, and a Democratic strategist who does public relations work for the chemical industry.
"This is pure propaganda, nothing whatsoever to do with science," tweeted Current Affairs. "If you want a scientific assessment have climate scientists evaluate the plan. Pretty galling that the New York Times doesn't disclose the obvious political biases of its sources."
(snip)
"The Bernie Sanders GND is the only federal climate policy ever proposed in line with what [Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change] scientists say is necessary: 'transformative change' in 'all aspects of society,'" said Holthaus. "If experts don't agree with that, they're not experts."

(62,444 posts)The incessant whining about coverage is not going to persuade anyone to cast a single vote for Sanders.
Even if the coverage is unfair, what on earth does this whining do? How many votes does it get?
And, before some anonymous poster jumps on me, go ahead and prove you ever actually supported Sanders in the first place. Because I sometimes get the impression that some "supporters" are purposefully annoying in order to repel others.
I did, early on last time around:

Money to Candidates BERRYHILL, JOHN
WILMINGTON, DE 19808 JOHN B. BERRYHILL LLC 02-10-2016 $201.00 Sanders, Bernie (D)
That's money I regret spending.
At least this time around we don't have the various not-really-official "Sanders" efforts engaging in similar victim theatrics like the "Enough is Enough" bullshit march on DC that never happened and ended in various bizarre accusations, or that nitwit who was pirating television broadcasts and got his YouTube channel shut down.
Honestly, a lot of Sanders' basic appeal is lost in the constant whining by people other than Sanders. There are a lot of good things to say about Bernie. This is not it.
------
On edit: For those that don't remember the loopy "we don't need a permit" nonsense march on DC, I still think it was a ratfucking effort by people who weren't Bernie supporters in the first place: https://www.democraticunderground.com/1251770162
Looking back on the threads promoting that scam, it's interesting how many of its supporters have gone away or been tombstoned since.

(58,355 posts)It only allows false frames and memes to take hold with the public warping their perspectives regarding our best candidates while allowing corrupt incompetents into power.
You can go your own path and when they attack Warren just remain silent but I'm not going to bend over and tell them "Thank you sir may I have another!" and neither does Bernie; his fighting spirit is just another major reason that I respect him all the more.

(62,444 posts)I don't care how loud or long someone yells "Pocahontas". It's politics. Shit happens. And, unlike you, I can document my prior material and tangible support of Sanders.
It's funny how many erstwhile "Sanders supporters" from 2016 are no longer here, though.

Good lord.
Take it up with the entire literary world, from the beginnings of language. You might include Sen. Sanders in your bleating, who, per your assertion, makes millions writing "propaganda".

and then my reply to you, which you never rebutted and still haven't.
Commentary by pundits, it's almost always about the "horse race" or trivial bullshit,
however critical issues affecting the daily lives of the overwhelming majority of the American People is all but ignored.

I couldn't very well delete key points in the paragraph which you ignored.
You may not have a problem with just posting partial paragraphs but I do.
