11. I have mixed feelings. I don't like Charter Schools...but some of the schools in

Cleveland, Cincinnati and Youngstown here in Ohio to name a few are horrible...I wouldn't send my dog there. And it won't be fixed in time to help current students...thus our Charter schools are often a better choice for poor parents. There needs to be more regulation and funding should not come at the expense of Public Schools.

2. Having schools of choice in Michigan - charter schools suck

They can refuse to take special ed students.
They can accept you and then expel you and keep the state money. Which is why we now have 2 count days each year.
Public school have to have remedial classes for math and reading because of the charter schools.
In our area, charter schools are k - 8 and students must transfer to public high school.

Charter schools are decimating our public schools, particularly in rural areas.

or what they were protesting. I was on the other side of the gym and then a counter chant started to drown them out.
