(31,823 posts)So the race doesn't really start for me until Super Tuesday. A LOT of candidates will drop out then. At that point I can make a decision about what Primary Campaign I want to volunteer for.

(16,179 posts)Its a shock to think about making a real decision, with so many candidates and factors to consider.

(31,261 posts)My guess is Super Tuesday will end with someone nosing ahead, but it won't decisively push one person into a big advantage. Florida will have the decisive primary after Super Tuesday, it will push someone decisively out front. New York State, Illinois, New Jersey and Virginia coming after Florida will give us our party's nominee.

(31,823 posts)We just had a state election in NJ.
I'm a Democratic Committee Member here and we had a full slate in my borouh, a free holder, Sheriff, two Assembly members etc etc. I'm also made focused on Tom Malinowski.
For those of us who are duly elected to serve locally as Commt Members -
I understand the value of the down ticket.
It's actually more valuable than the Presidency.
Don't forget the Senate and hold the House.
Trump impeached himself every day and Pence is thick.as thieves.
We get the Senate and they steal it?
Hello President Pelosi in six months.

(31,823 posts)I don't have time.
We had a few weeks to breathe and next up?
I'm planning an MLK day event in the county seat and black history month event to DIRECTLY engage the 600 Registered Democratic Party members in our borough.
Another member will tackle March - and then in April I'm sponsoring a Meet and Greet for the person we've identified for a Local Council seat that I hope we can get Malinowski, our two Assembly members, Phil or Tammy Murphy and possibly Booker and Men to attend.
You guys can figure it out and I'll take a look in May.
My great frustration?
How they hell could anyone ignore the state elections? Marshall Cohen busted his ass for Kentucky and Louisiana (charged with Gubernatorial Candidates nationwide).
The reality is - the candidates won't be here until May.
I've got party work to do.

(31,261 posts)Your state is smallish population and late in the process, two drawbacks to having meaningful influence.

(6,377 posts)If it's close and Biden is in it, which I anticipate he likely will be, I'll vote for him. But chances are, it'll be pretty much decided at that point and if it is, I'll vote for whoever the clear frontrunner is.

(31,261 posts)But my guess as the biggest of the biggies left to vote after Super Tuesday, my state will loom massive in deciding the nominee.
