(23,099 posts)Biden's not officially in the race and he may not run. Even if he does, he may not do well. So, I officially like him and he's my early fave, but I like others as well, including Buttieg. I am very much looking forward to the primaries and the debates. Bring it on!

(988 posts)He is a good candidate but be CAREFUL.. if he doesnt get the nomination.. dont go vote for the green party candidate or just dont show up.
In order to kick TRUMP out of office. We all have to vote for the DEM candidate period. NO MATTER WHAT.
Dont let petty ideology get in the way.

(17,304 posts)I hope you're right on the latter point, anyway.
On the former, there is no doubt. I also love Beto O'Rourke. I think Kamala Harris (your pick, whom I also respect) is fully capable of becoming president. Andrew Yang brings many intriguing ideas to the table. Warren, Brown, Booker, any of them would be fine, IMO.
I love Joe Biden too, but I am concerned about a president who would be 80 at the end of his term. I know that's "ageist." Maybe it's because so many of my extended family members suffered serious physical and/or mental decline in their 70s.

But I think Buttigieg is going to have to wait another couple cycles. In the meantime, he has other options besides the presidency. He clearly has a very bright future.
