Jeremy Corbyn (Bernie's "UK alter-ego") at 18% favorability (71% unfavorable)

Jeremy Corbyn’s favourability with the public is lower still, with 18 per cent of people surveyed holding a favourable view of him, compared to nearly four times that number (71 per cent) who have an unfavourable view."

Less than two years ago, Sanders praised Corbyn for sharing his goals and views. This is an exchange between Bernie Sanders and Jeremy Corbyn:

"What has impressed me -- and there is a real similarity between what he has done and what I have done -- he has taken on the establishment of the Labour party and gone to the grassroots. And he has tried to transform that party and take on a lot of establishment opposition.

"That is exactly what's taking place in the United States and what I'm trying to do with the Democratic Party," he continued.

This CNN article calls Corbyn the Sanders "UK alter ego":

Corbyn is to the left of Bernie.

But your point is well taken. Corbyn is so awful even if there was a GE labour would not be in position to win it largely because of Corbyn.

And the consequent loss in popularity.

But as far as Bernie, he's one of the best chances we have to unseat the Orange Oaf (and he's not as far to the left as Corbyn).

Biden would whip Cheeto's ass too, of course - and I'd be more than happy to vote for him as well.

You blame the media and "entrenched interested" for Corbyn's unpopularity. But Sanders is popular.

It’s not just his politics, he is proving to be an ineffective leader.

But I don't know of any perfect government models. Representative democracy of any kind relies on the ability of reasonable people to compromise. Sometime we run short of reasonable people who are capable of compromise.

He thinks he is right, won't listen to advice, won't change his mind about anything. He thinks that people are stupid and only if they studied what he has to say, they will all flock to him. He is also secretive, disheveled and unkempt. The similarities are piling up.

but his intentionally weak and lukewarm opposition to Brexit (which he still supports bigly in defiance of his own party) played no small part in the resolution actually passing.

Then there's the whole Russia thing which is another discussion entirely.

It's funny how fast he became the darling of the Alt-Left in America to vanishing off our radar screens...
