Thu Jan 9, 2020, 12:53 PM
Jan 2020

Seriously.

Are we confident that they are informed by virtue of being famous? Are we confident that their reasoning is logical by virtue of being famous?

Why can't we just accept that artists are simply artists and stop projecting our desire for leadership onto them?

They don't have have any more impact than anyone else expressing their opinion. So, no, we literally can't "listen to their point of view just like any other American." Most other Americans won't be heard by even a fraction of those who are exposed to celebrity endorsements.

Elizabeth Ruth Grable (December 18, 1916 – July 2, 1973) was an American actress, pin-up girl, dancer, model, and singer. Her 42 films during the 1930s and 1940s grossed more than $100 million, and she set a record of 12 consecutive years in the top 10 of box office stars. The U.S. Treasury Department in 1946 and 1947 listed her as the highest-salaried American woman; she earned more than $3 million during her career

Emily has made dozens of films, been a top 10 box office star for several years, and has been listed as the highest salaried American woman. And she did much of that before turning 30.

for Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines", which became the number-one song of the year in several countries.

Ratajkowski appeared on the cover of the March 2012 issue of the erotic magazine treats!, which led to her being asked to appear in two music videos – "Blurred Lines" and Maroon 5's "Love Somebody".

She appeared in the 2014 and 2015 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issues. Ratajkowski made her professional runway modeling debut for Marc Jacobs at New York Fashion Week in 2015 and has since walked on the Paris Fashion Week runway for Miu Miu and Milan Fashion Week for Bottega Veneta, Dolce & Gabbana and Versace. She appeared in a Buick Super Bowl commercial during Super Bowl 50. She has become the spokesperson for brands such as DKNY, The Frye Company, Kerastase, Paco Rabanne and DL1961.

She has collaborated with other designers on both a handbag collection and a jewelry collection. In addition, she has designed her own line of swimwear, the Inamorata brand.
