Bernie has been allowed to go on unquestioned. It is time for the voters to have a good look at him, vet him properly. Hillary went through hell during the vetting process done by the media and Bernie's faithful in 2016. We can't let it happen again. All of the candidates must face the same level of scrutiny.

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/10/24/us/politics/joe-biden-super-pac.html
Biden Campaign Drops Opposition to Super PAC Support
After ending the third quarter with less cash than four rivals, Joe Biden’s campaign reversed course to stop discouraging supporters from forming a super PAC to help him in the Democratic primary.

Joseph R. Biden Jr.’s campaign effectively dropped its longstanding opposition to receiving the assistance of super PACs on Thursday, opening the door for wealthy supporters to spend unlimited amounts of money to try and lift him in the Democratic primary.

The move represents a stark reversal and an implicit acknowledgment of his weakened position in the contest. He entered October with only $9 million in the bank, a fraction of his leading rivals.

Mr. Biden had explicitly denounced support from a super PAC in his 2020 run and had previously said he would not have blessed one if he had run in 2016. As recently as a month ago, when a possible pro-Biden super PAC surfaced, his campaign denounced the effort.

But on Thursday, Kate Bedingfield, his deputy campaign manager, softened that stance, blaming the barrage of ads and attacks from President Trump and his allies and accusing them of interfering in the Democratic primary.

5. From the article:
Mon Jan 13, 2020, 02:20 PM
Jan 2020
The two agreed that if they ultimately faced each other as presidential candidates, they should remain civil and avoid attacking one another, so as not to hurt the progressive movement. They also discussed how to best take on President Donald Trump, and Warren laid out two main reasons she believed she would be a strong candidate: She could make a robust argument about the economy and earn broad support from female voters.

Sanders responded that he did not believe a woman could win.

The description of that meeting is based on the accounts of four people: two people Warren spoke with directly soon after the encounter, and two people familiar with the meeting.

That evening, Sanders expressed frustration at what he saw as a growing focus among Democrats on identity politics, according to one of the people familiar with the conversation. Warren told Sanders she disagreed with his assessment that a woman could not win, three of the four sources said.

Sanders denied the characterization of the meeting in a statement to CNN.

I know that with Sanders, the buck always stops somewhere else but we cannot only make judgements based on direct statements and ignore the campaign led by him. Sanders hired dirtbags who actively worked against the last Dem candidate in the general election to do the attacks for him by lying and distorting the truth. He prefers not to get his hands dirty. We aren't talking about random supporters who misbehave but people who he hired to do exactly what they are doing.
That's why he can dishonestly ask whether he's ever said anything bad about Warren while he gets introduced at a rally as someone who at least was never a Republican.

If I were to vote in a presidential

From a Trump tweet today:

"Bernie Sander’s volunteers are trashing Elizabeth “Pocahontus” Warren. Everybody knows her campaign is dead and want her potential voters. Mini Mike B is also trying, but getting tiny crowds which are all leaving fast. Elizabeth is very angry at Bernie. Do I see a feud brewing?"

Trump WANTS a Sanders/Warren feud, and, frankly, some Biden supporters here seem to be going along with it.

I'm out of here. I don't want to argue anymore with primary partisans.

That and given his record on women's rights, that seems REALLY out of character. He clearly didn't believe that before.

Oh and look. That "Attack" by Bernie on Warren ended up not being true. It was some random guy making a random comment that was quickly deleted by the mods, which Politico blew up to make it look like some official policy.

Saying maybe we should take these revelations with a bit of salt. This looks like Bernie Bros threw Chairs" thing all over again.

out loud, to all of us, for a while now. Since he has said it to the public often enough, why wouldn't he say it in a meeting with Warren discussing a presidential run? And if he said that, and that half of the conversation is correctly being reported, then doesn't that heighten the odds all of what is repeated is true?

Mon Jan 13, 2020, 07:24 PM

This accusation came from the Warren campaign ….Just as bogus as the accusation Elizabeth Warren made yesterday that Bernie directed volunteers to trash her campaign ...Bernie had nothing to do with the production or dissemination pf the document in question...A very troubling pattern is emerging .. Why in God's name would Bernie urge Elizabeth to run for President in 2015 if he really believed a woman could not win The Presidency ? .. ...The accusation makes no sense … As Mayor of Burlington , Bernie told the young school children he was addressing that the girls , too , have every right to and should think of one day running for President ……...Very Sad

Bernie might personally and professionally be supportive of women and want to see a woman be elected president, but also believe this country is still too sexist to elect a woman. And sadly, after 2016, I'm not sure he's wrong. Maybe a woman can win but the bar is 10 times higher...she has to be 10 times more perfect than a white man (as did Obama, as the first black president). As much as I can't stand Papa Pope on Scandal, his "twice as good" speech at the beginning of season 3 is dead on.
