What Makes Bloomberg's Campaign Different

What Makes Bloomberg’s Campaign Different

"SNIP.....

Washington Post: “The thing that makes Bloomberg different is he can knock on all doors at once. Bloomberg is running aggressively to win the Democratic nomination but he is simultaneously building out a general election machine to defeat President Trump, with a new structure — data, field organizing, advertising and policy — that aims to elect Democrats up and down the ballot even if the party’s voters reject the former New York mayor this spring…”

“Bloomberg’s data operation, cryptically called Hawkfish, aims to incorporate expensive demographic and targeting data, parts of which can later be fed back into the party’s databases or repurposed for the broader fight against Trump and Republicans. The fact that he is a candidate gives him greater access to party data than he would otherwise have, and as a candidate he also benefits from lower television ad rates in swing states before their primary contests than he would if he simply advertised against Trump as a regular citizen.”

1. One thing that makes Bloomberg's campaign different is he's not out to bash any other candidate....

He's sticking to the issues and he's articulating his positions and experience. And he's already said that he'll support our nominee and is prepared to spend hundreds of millions of dollars (up to a billion!) to get our Democratic candidate elected.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

I want to ask you this. In the history of American politics, has anyone running for President ever given even a penny to the guy who beat them out of the nomination? I mean, has this ever happened?

3. What makes his campaign different? He is trying to buy the presidency with his billions.

Oh I guess Steyer is trying that too. I would rather support a candidates who is financing hers or his campaign from small donations from everyday people.

6. Obviously he is spending his billions to saturate the airways among other things.

It just smells bad to me.

""It undermines our democracy when you have someone worth $55 billion say, 'Hey, I'm worth $55 billion. What's another billion dollars into campaign ads all over this country?'" Sanders said. "I think billionaires buying elections is not what American democracy is supposed to be about."

8. So because Sanders said Bloomberg is "buying the election" means it's true?
