and that I hoped Schiff would be, at least, asked to be the VP.

Something was alluded to about the mostly "white men" preferences.

I will not vote for someone simply because he is a man
I will not vote for someone simply because she is a woman.
I will not vote against someone simply because he is a man.
I will not vote against someone simply because she is a woman.
I will not vote for someone based on the color of their skin.
I will not vote against someone based on the color of their skin. . . .

and I never have in the past.

I vote for the best candidate IN THE CONTEXT OF THE PRESENT CIRCUMSTANCES
as well as on his/her ideology and policy proposals. The match up against the
contender plays a big part in choosing. I am not inclined to be a bean-counter in any way.

As of today, I am leaning towards:

Biden or Steyer for Pres.
Schiff, Klobuchar, Warren, or Harris for VP

Any combination thereof would be impressive and powerful.
Someone on the ticket is needed who appeals to the swing-states of
MI, WI, PA, OH, MN and IO. Perhaps Biden / Klobuchar would be best ?

Those poll numbers have to greatly understate Biden's advantage against Trump compared to the other candidates, though. Come the GE, the right wing candidate assassination machine will be turbocharged against the Democratic nominee, joined by Russia and other hostile nations.

America knows Joe, likes Joe, and trusts Joe, and his past is well known. That's a huge problem for the Republicans and a strength none of the other candidates have.

The less well known the weaker because for people of good character and records the method is to fill in all the blanks on the whiteboard they start with with lies and redesign the past and person on it to create a whole new identity. We saw that with Hillary, where an admirable woman with a lifelong commitment to advancing the wellbeing of women and children was recreated as someone even her mother wouldn't like.

As for a candidate whose character, judgement and background provide almost endless opportunities for character assassination, and lots of empty whiteboard to fill with restyled history, ...

I can't help it! I love both of them!

Common sense, decency, competence, level headed, smart, genuine, kind.
