So can we please stop saying she's a liar when she says she hasn't yet endorsed anyone, including Bernie?

Velasquezs departure follows the resignation of Lucy Flores, a former Nevada assemblywoman and fellow founding board member, who quit in April over her own anger at Our Revolution for, in her view, ignoring issues important to Latinos.

Additionally, Lucy Flores resigned from the board in April 2018 due to what she claims was the organization's lack of outreach to the Latino community.

I know it's a static page, but they should add an addendum or something to avoid confusion. I suspect they may do so shortly.

(58,785 posts)though, casts doubt on her judgement and credibility. Those prone to extremist behaviors are always dishonest within the sphere of their zealotry, and usually profoundly so, because both their beliefs and the ruthless behaviors that go with zealotry require it. Their ends always justify their means, necessary because everyone not with them is bad and must be stopped. So what was she doing with them?
And Ms. Flores left this group not because of the typical destructive behaviors of these groups, belying their claims of being committed to progressive government by weakening, and even sometimes opposing, election of Democrats, but because they neglect Hispanic issues. (Of course.) But that's only one of many wrongs she should have cared about, and a person of good judgement and character would not have run with those dogs in the first place, or dissociated for better cause when they realized what they were.

Flores was a Democratic assemblywoman. She has to know that in the real world if your goal is universal healthcare, civil rights, feeding and housing the poor, or affordable/free college and technical school, you elect liberal Democrats, as many as possible until majorities are achieved. It is that simple.

Seems comfortable for #LucyFlores to grab @BillClinton by the neck. @JoeBiden has no reason to apologize to this reported former gang member who spent time in juvenile detention for stealing a car.

(48,977 posts)today, and repeating the long-debunked smear about Biden and Stephanie Carter, a smear that Flores resurrected to use against Biden.
Here's my reply about that in the thread about Carter's statement today:
https://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1287&pid=45737
As I said there, I'm disgusted by the smears and lies.
And what they're saying is so ridiculous, with Flores having said Biden was nuzzling Carter's neck, and Konst claiming idiotically that he was "sniffing her hair," when he was doing nothing of the sort.
Shameful.
And Konst looked so happy to be peddling this crap.

(108,978 posts)Her photo with Bernie is totally irrelevant. And posing for a selfie with Biden means nothing either. She had asked him to come there to endorse her -- she wanted pictures of the two of them together.
Neither of those photos disprove her claim that, while she was waiting to step onstage, Biden suddenly came up behind her, gripped her shoulders, sniffed her hair and planted a big slow kiss on her head.

There is also pictures of him "sniffing" Eva Longoria's hair at that event too, PS he was TALKING to her - but people who want to smear.....i.e. right wingers and ahem some others like to take these snapshots in time out of context.

(7,277 posts)Even after the smears have been utterly debunked they get trotted out to defame establishment democrats (read Democrats) at opportune times calculated to do the most damage to the party candidates. No doubt Our Revolution have would have organised behind Bernie Sanders call to primary President Obama in 2012, and to hell with the Democratic Party.

(297,220 posts)good way to describe them.
Some of them seemed so surprised when the BLUEWAVE happened with all kinds of Dems turning red seats to BLUEWAVE seats.
That's why we have the House Victory now and a chance to hold the fascists from taking over everything. No thanks to the pettiness of those hurling "estalblishment" accusations.. like it's a dirty word. The BlueWave Revolution was in spite of them.
The secret to the blue wave that won the House for Democrats
As Chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, I spent a significant amount of time this cycle traveling throughout the country making a personal case to supporters about our candidates. I know firsthand how Democrats achieved our historic victory, and what it will take to build on this success heading into 2020.
Throughout my time on the road, there was one constant: Nancy Pelosi. She was strong, passionate and persuasive. She always showed up, always took the time, always made the case better than anyone else about how consequential these midterms were.
She did all this while balancing an ideologically diverse Democratic caucus and the dangers posed by an erratic, impulsive President who constantly sought to distract from the personal conversation that Democrats were having with voters. But with laser focus and a "Just Win, Baby" mentality, Nancy Pelosi's achievements this year are historic

(10,828 posts)She's proven herself to be a toxic element. And this is what happens when you weaponize a gender-related movement. The MeToo movement has an important message, giving voice to women who have been silenced in the past. These sort of ridiculous smears coat tailing that message simply undermine the importance of the original impetus. Which was genuine, long overdue
