Our Democratic Presidents and Their Sexual Peccadillos

So Democratic Presidential candidates must be sexually pure and admirable? Really?

FDR - Long-term affair with a woman other than his wife.
JFK - Multiple affairs, including with Marilyn Monroe
LBJ - Several affairs, including a 20+ year one with Madeleine Brown
Bill Clinton - We all remember

Jimmy Carter and Barack Obama are notable for their faithfulness.

The country looked the other way. So, now, we're eliminating candidates who have kissed somebody's hair or rubbed noses with someone without asking permission? Really?

While a philandering, pussy-grabbing asshole sits in the White House? Really?I

Do we even care who wins in 2020? Really?

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

I very much doubt the dictionary would agree that's a word, but I'm going to run with it anyway.

At any rate, it's something we need to work through with Biden. Some of us have known for years that he's free with his hands and occasionally says the darnedest things. We have an opinion of Biden which takes that into consideration already. I do believe some are attempting to use this against Biden, but I also believe some just need to sort out how they feel about Biden's, ah, eccentricities. And even those of us who are familiar with his tendencies could use a good example of how he'll handle them given where he is in life and where society is--because this absolutely will come up in a general election.

To lay all my cards on the table, my first choice is Harris, my second is Buttigieg, based on perceived merit. I'm actually pondering a switch to Biden whatever his faults because I absolutely could not stomach Sanders and Biden might be our best chance of shutting that down the quickest and minimizing the fallout.

I really do bear him no malice, but I do believe it's a fair question and we have to see how he handles it. I thought his press release in response to the last one was pretty encouraging in that respect.

Left and the Right. Which is a clear indication that Joe Biden is perceived as a genuine threat in the 2020 race. Though I'd like to see the attacks stop, I suspect we'll see more, not less as the campaigns gear up.

As for the accusations themselves?

I think they're profoundly stupid and counterproductive, undermining the very sense of listening to women's voices and their stories. Turn this into a ridiculous political weapon? People will stop listening altogether. Only to silence vulnerable women once again, those with genuine grievances of sexual harassment and assault.

A very short-sighted approach.

Some do not even hug their own kin. How much as this "He touched me! Eeek!" stems for cultural differences? The way I look at it, unless his hand lingered on tits, ass or vagina, it was not a sexual touch. But I am sure that there are women out there who would view any skin to skin contact as scary.
