115. For slavery?
How would that work? Reparations should have happened after the Civil War, but how would you possibly administer such a program now? Nobody alive today was a slave in the US, at least not legally, and nobody alive today owned slaves. How would you figure out who is entitled to reparations, and who would pay for it? I don't believe the great great grandchildren of slaveowners should have to pay for the sins of their ancestors, and many non-black families in the US, especially religious minorities like Jews and Italians and Irish, didn't even have ancestors in the US when slavery was still legal. And would African Americans like Obama (theoretically) be entitled to reparations even though their ancestors were not in the US in the 1800's?

148. Unfortunately opened the door there cause this really does apply to some of the candidates. Not

159. I think Steyer is right than Trump is going to hammer on the booming economy as a talking point
so I agree with Yang constantly hammering on the fact that 78% of us live paycheck to paycheck, and the best, fastest to change that.

My heart is with Bernie. But I think Warren could be a unity candidate - appeals to people like my mom who voted for Hillary and Bernie supporters like me. I would be happy with either candidate.

Bernie says N.H. senators were wrong on trade deal.
Amy defends them. Says best way to deal with climate change is (she gives substantial list) Warren also defends trade deal - it made things somewhat better. Steyer defends Bernie. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |
