Fri Feb 7, 2020, 10:57 PM
Feb 2020

How would that work? Reparations should have happened after the Civil War, but how would you possibly administer such a program now? Nobody alive today was a slave in the US, at least not legally, and nobody alive today owned slaves. How would you figure out who is entitled to reparations, and who would pay for it? I don't believe the great great grandchildren of slaveowners should have to pay for the sins of their ancestors, and many non-black families in the US, especially religious minorities like Jews and Italians and Irish, didn't even have ancestors in the US when slavery was still legal. And would African Americans like Obama (theoretically) be entitled to reparations even though their ancestors were not in the US in the 1800's?

about them during elections.

The Dems are on our Front Lines Fighting Against the Treasonous Fascist, and his toady enablers in Congress, for our POC and all Americans.

I know VP Joe Biden Cares about our POC Community all the time. That's one of the things that endears him to me.

I wouldn't phrase the answer that way and we need to get past this feeling, or belief. But, it is out there and being said. Warren has staked a lot listening to the POC community and holding true. This is what the community says.

I know Obama certainly cared, right?
