Trump actively wants to run against Bernie. That's obvious. He's supporting Bernie by claiming that Democratic insiders are cheating Bernie out of the nomination. No, Trump wants Bernie to be the candidate because he wants to beat Bernie over the head with the "socialist" moniker. Trump wants Bernie to be our candidate, but Bernie will beat Trump just like any other Democratic candidate will in 2020. As I have said before, Daffy Duck would beat Trump in 2020. Daffy knows what the American people know, and it's a message that the American people are prepared to deliver to the Great Pumpkin later this year:

all they have to do is tell the truth if only once, knowing no one will believe them.

If one were guided by common sense or logic then one would know Trump is actually speaking the truth in this case, Bernie has a strong army of committed followers, Bloomberg has 60 billion dollars while those monies can be used to buy, rent or persuade followers, it's just not the same as a following based on the message (s) and long time authenticity.
