(25,472 posts)and everybody was totally convinced that Castro was the worst guy in the world and all of the Cuban people were going to rise up in rebellion against Fidel Castro. They forgot that he educated their kids, gave their kids healthcare, totally transformed the society.
Good luck convincing people that that isn't praise.

Sanders would probably also save Susan Collins in Maine, and McSally in Arizona. Doug Jones would be toast. Same for both Georgia races.

(10,476 posts)The Cuban exile community is fucking insane and largely conservative anyways, so courting their vote has always been futile. Thankfully the older ones are dying off, the later generations are much more practical and progressive.
